Lee everone in IT knows that you did a good job 10 years ago, but that was then.

What makes you say that? I have not known him for long, but he seems like he cares... Not some robot that isn't involved with anything.

Completely disagree. I do not think he understands how technology can really help solve issues impacting the business. He is focused on just getting by and "good enough." IT could solve a lot of their own problems by being innovative.

In my opinion, the Lee critics have it wrong. Look at his long-term track record - that is were the measure of Lee's success lies. Sure, cutting edge innovation is cool and sexy, but not easily sold to global partners. "Good enough" is usually the outcome from negotiated solutions. For Lee to be successful as the technology leader in the organization, he needs to gauge risk vs. benefit at a much broader scale than most probably realize. Crafting solutions that are acceptable to all involved parties sometimes means you need to take the lowest common demoninator. Over the long haul, this is what drives successful global implementations.

If you take a closer look at the current suite of major solutions in place - SAP, SFA, etc., I think you'll find steady long-term success guided by Lee's low-key approach.

Not Lee. Just someone that's been there and tried to do what he does and didn't succeed.

We have worked hard to get to "One". But "One" what. I look around, and it seems like we don't know how to do anything anymore. No one knows how this organizaton works. We just fill out PPM chits and go to meetings.

It was all good when we were hell bent on a TAK390 launch, now we are just trying to use up vacation.

It's going to be a while until this company stabilizes. Do you think IT is the only department in chaos right now? You have one organization that has been in nothing but build-mode for 10 years, and one that has spent the last 6-7 on life support. Some people have had to invent their own jobs just to appear busy, and some have never had a chance to stop and look at the flowers. I think that process is going to come to the former-TPNAers and hope that innovation and flexibility is going to come to the former-TAPers. The weak ones will fall out of either camp, but some of the anchor-people that have stayed around simply because they enjoy the company and culture may also leave.

I don't know how the culture is going to play out here, but I'm pretty sure things are going to change drastically for everyone.

Merger? Too funny it is a take over by TAP. I am so tired of the TAP folks bragging how they did everything better. Stop bragging and start working, it may be a new concept for some of the TAP folks. Yes we actually work at Takeda and not at a snails pace.

The truth is that this could be a great synergy of the company if people would stop trying to get the next job when they just got this one. I do not understand the TAP folks already have the better positions so stop trying to justify yourself, be a team player take some responsibilty and do your job.

Since Lee and upper management will not decide what everyones responsibilities are the IT staff will just keep floundering because what once use to work for the most part is now a total disarray.

Lee how about figuring out what you will do with your organization instead of saying yes to everyone who is above you. Protect the people who work to make your IT organization run instead of looking to make heads role.

I agree about not knowing who does what in IT. I do not know what group I should send a ticket to since we moved on to USD. I also have no idea what these new groups are and what people belong to the group. I am a BA and it has been very hard to get simple tasks accomplished.

I'm a field sales rep. What company is running the Help Desk? They are useless.

I'm guessing you came from TAP where the Helpdesk was actually in house and knew what the hell they were doing. Takeda uses a little "gem" called C3i as the helpdesk for the sales reps and you hit the nail on the head when you say USELESS

Don't be so hard on yourself Dennis. You're in IT at Takeda...where mediocrity is the benchmark to which all success is measured!

You should go ask Barb Ronner for some training.

I agree that Lee and some of his incompetent direct reports have to go. All they do is say 'Yes Lee' to save their own jobs. While I agree that Lee has done great things as part of the Takeda startup company, Takeda has grown so big now and Lee lost a good handle in a lot of areas especially in communication, talent recognition not to mention his deminished leadership. Why not tell the IT people straight in the eyes now as to their fate in their jobs good or bad. Why piece meal in dessiminating a very important message that will surely affect peoples livelihood? I don't really understand that. I believed Lee has lost credibility and trust in the Takeda IT area and maybe in the business area as well.
It is hard to understand why Google Mail was started only to cancel it and go with the microsoft solution after spending thousands of dollars if not millions. Why upgrade the OS to Windows7 without adequate project plannning and communication to the business since they will be affected as well? Other solutions to address state requirements for data protection are available, why didn't he go with that in the interem? I mentioned all these to prove his failed leadersip and vision for IT.

    Well said.

Anytime you are a Senior Executive, there are going to be people who think are you doing a good job, and others who think you suck. But with Lee, I have not heard a single person defend him.

the evidence is in the 105 people he let go, great leadership get rid of 65% of your workforce and say that is best for the company, just 93 people left to get disapointed by failed leadership. IT 3.0 who will turn off the lights, that he could not keep on?

Lee is such a great leader, he loves when people kiss his ass. As long as you kiss his ass he will love you, and the best part is that he loves to surround himself with dum ass people, like fat fuck Gil Avello and Kristy Salm how they love to suck upper management dick well I would love to suck dick to if I was making 200k plus a year. Lee get your head out of your ass and open your eyes, and see who you have surrounded yourself with, each of your direct report is making 200k plus a year what have they done for you
