Hello, I recently applied online for a Sales Account Executive position on the East Coast. Does anyone have a contact name/hiring manager name that you could give me for follow-up? Any other feed-back you want to share about this position?

Thanks for any help you can provide. It's nice to see that there are not a bunch of negative posts here!

There has been so much turnover in the sales department, I wouldn't know who to tell you to contact. Be cautious, they are not doing well at all, so you might be bailing out a life raft with a big hole in it. If you get an interview ask them about their financial performance over the past three years and if they lost any big accounts.

Do you know what business unit you applying to? The person above me is correct a ton of turnover had some high level sales individuals leave in the past year. Never a good sign

Wolters Kluwer stock has outperformed the S&P 500 and IMS over the last 6 months, plus they just took Bristol-Myers Squibb away from IMS and are actually hiring in product management, consulting, and sales. I don't think a $4 Billion plus dollar diversified company has any threat of sinking. They are doing better than IMS, and oh, by the way, Wolters Kluwer Health is > $1.4 Billion in revenue, which is the division that competes directly w/ IMS. Solid company with solid financials, which is why people who are being laid off by IMS are going to WK.

Let's be accurate with the numbers. The Informatics business of WK is only $140M and break-even at best. The $1.4B includes publishing and other businesses that don't compete with IMS. The parent as you said is a well-diversified business and Informatics isn't going anywhere soon, but don't prop it up to be a wonderfully large, growing and highly profitable business, because that's not true.

Seriously. Just read their earnings call transcripts. The Health division is in trouble because of the old NDC business!

I agree with some of those above. WK not the place to go....IMS people who have come here could not find jobs elsewhere, plus most live in the area and there is no one else hiring. Nice to have people here who know how IMS works, but at the same time what is coming in are not Superstars...most average...and I should know...I would leave if I could get another job but I have no leads..only place you can go is to a like company.

Hey, where did this guy come from? I had to work with him on a customer issue last week and he is the most arrogant, stuck-up dude in the company. I'll be damned if I ever bring him out in the field.

He was canned by Verispan (probably three years too late though).

Re: Contact Info/Follow up - Keith

Arrogant doesn't begin to describe it. Count the number of time he says "I". He doesn't understand the concept of team.

He will undermine anyone unless it is his idea and he gets credit for it. Watch your back.

He is good at managing up and gets away with it.
You have got to appreciate his ability to manage the "spin". He excels at it.

I worked for Sheridan at Verispan. I used to enjoy when some of the execs gave him a hard time. He'd just turn red and disappear for two or three days.
