Anyone work for this company? What is the Salary, Car Allowance, Company Culture, Expenses...ETC? Has anyone been able to meet quotas? If so, how much did you make in a year.

Listen, I know times are hard. If you have a family, I don't blame you. But if there is any way you can stay away from this company.....think Will Smith in that sad movie where he was a sales rep and struggled BIG TIME. That will be your typical day.

Sorry to break it that way to you.

Zero point Zero zero market share. Wacky Korean management style that is arrogant, misguided, and just plain out of touch with modern American business practices. There is no need for this implant system in the US. It is undifferentiated, hard to use, the support is almost non existent, and not to be racist, but very few people in this company are American. Which means they do not speak clear English, and they have different customer satisfaction levels that what dentists in the US are used to. This will be a classic Korean business failure at a unprecedented level.

That about says it all! This company is an absolute joke and you can add Dentium, Megagen, Cowel Medi, and on and on. They destroyed their own Korean market by slashing each others price and now are attempting to make a dent in the US Market with low cost, knock off products. English 101: right not write and see not sea. I won't even touch the "wish you are part".

Imagine being on the phone with their support staff, and not be able to understand a word they are saying. Usual Korean arrogance. How about trying to read any sort of instruction manual for implant placement. "Remove tissue from gum. Yous correct size inplant in mouth. so gum shut to stop bleeding."

Why would anyone risk a patient's well being by using this company's products when there are plenty of established implant companies in the US. The arrogance and stupidity of this company is palpable.

They do not and never will trust anyone other than their own(Koreans) to manage their company in the US. Hence, the broken English, the revolving door of employees, especially non-Koreans. They are a Human Resource nightmare and frankly I do not know how many labor related lawsuits they have had as a group, probably a ton. They battle tooth and nail for the Korean American Dentist and these Docs play them like a fiddle. They end up giving product away by swapping out other Korean products for theirs. Piss poor business model run by egomaniacal Korean Dentists who own and attempt to operate implant companies. Hey Hiossen or Osstem, what is the turnover rate in your US employee pool? Probably staggering!

This comment was posted on another list the other day.....................lots of pretenders as most of you know by now but very few legitimate implant (as in medical device) companies that you folks can actually consider working for.

We called Hiossen formerly Osstem implants west coast office yesterday at 11:45 am to place an order, the person answering the phone told us to call back after 1:00 to place the order, as they were having lunch. So I had my staff call HQ in Penn. The girl said she couldn't take the order, or take a message, or send us a current catalog since ours is from 07 with a photocopied price list from 08. My staff person who tried to place the order said she wanted a job like that and tried to explained that in our small office we stagger lunch periods to better assist customers. Was told by Osstem NOT HERE, we all go at the same time.

I went on line to find a phone number for them at HQ, one of the things that came up was a job posting for a machinist or engineer, with contact info. With the statement no emails, faxes, or phone calls...I guess just snail mail.

Only one way to respond to the previous posting: "You wish you are write with you're comments, but Hiossen will be on top. You will sea."

Wow, what is the point for this company existing? Classic example of how the implant market has too many players, take a page from the Hyundai model boys, get rid of all the Koreans and let the Americans be the face of the company, then maybe you have a shot at 1% of the market

Great example of Hyundai, but one better. The LG CEO(Korean) made all his executives learn English and all company meetings are in English, only. Like Hyundai, highly successful in the US market. You would think these dental egomaniacs from Korea would take a page from successful Korean Companies. It will never happen! Trust me, I have been around the block with a Korean Implant Company. THEY JUST DON'T AND WON'T LISTEN!

Megagen USA seems to be doing ok under the circumstances. Steve Pfefer has worked for them for a couple of years and claims they are solid. Their Korean staff speaks decent English. They are also selling a US-made motor with their implants (unlike most others who sell the same rebranded W&H unit or NSK).

Osstem sold alot of implants at huge discounts to their doctors and gave the doctors favorable terms to pay this off. The doctors thought they would placing alot of implants and it turns out they are not so many are now returning the implants since they do not have the volumes and getting their money back which is impacting Osstem's ability in the US.

I have personally tried to work with them - impossible is an understatement - arrogance, stupidity, and a lack of implant knowledge = disaster = Osstem....

Go to Megagen at least their management in the US and sales reps have real implant experience and knowledge, speak english and understand how to sell and somewhat market

Megagen is the number one implant company is Lithuania and Kazekstan. This speaks volumes as to their ability to take control of a market like the US. During their start up period in a marketing meeting they were trying to determine what to call the company. In keeping with Asian traditions they considered the names, MechaGodzilla, Mothra and Rodan Implants, but settled on Megagen. True Story.

So basically what you are saying is, if you HAVE to go with a Korean implant company use Megagen? Question is, why would anyone really care if the company was Korean or not? How about going with the company that offers the best value, support, and safety.

I work for Nobel and my doctor had purchased Osstem after they had been using Nobel for years. He bought a big package and was givin a favourable time period to pay off his package. However, like many companies he did have to go through a third party financial group to finance the implants. He told me he can exchange products for other ones but he will not get his money back because he purchased a package. Again, like most companies you can only return your items if you have item sales.
I heard Megazen is worse, they don't have a big sales force at all and been told they copy everything Osstem does. I did some research and Osstem is huge in Asia, a lot bigger than Megazen.
What does everyone think of MIS? ID?

I work for Nobel too. Recently one of my large surgical accounts started to buy BlueSky Bio implants. Kind of testing them out. These implants that can be placed with Nobel surgical kit, cost about $130 each, and they give away-completely free-no charge surgical planning software. I downloaded the software, in a way it is better than NobelGuide because it has an automatic DICOM conversion in it, no need to go through all the steps to get a usable image. Its hard to compete with this sort of thing in the market.
