What do you know about the BIG lawsuit forming for recovery of unpaid overtime for Quality Supervisors? Has Talecris wrongly classified QS as an exempt from OT position? My research says yes. Any ideas?

Is this yet another nail in the coffin of Talecris?

If they are a regular Q who is salary..overtime is a mute point. IF they are a Q-back-up who is hourly and have been asked to do Q duties off the clock, then they may have a case. If you are non-exempt and salary, you can kiss your personal life goodbye.

The lawsuit is all about Talecris wrongly classifying the QS position as exempt. When your wage is stated on your paystub per hour......... the cash drawer will be opening for all QS's.

What about management? Their paycheck stubs were always in an hourly format until recently. Now I know why there was a change.

I have spoken with the legal department and we are screwed. You can not expect QS's to work 70-80 hrs for base pay. It basically means they are getting paid the same as an hourly worker. Talecris is about to crash and burn anyway, why do you think all the Execs are dumping their stocks. This deal is not gonna happen.

The Center Managers should be invited to join. It's the same situation or worse.

Overtime? Managers and Qss have it easy. Back in the day we never worked as few of hours. The Qs and Managers now live in the office and work 45 hours at best.

LOL 45 hours at best, and just what are you smoking? Maybe you're from Uranus or just your head is stuck there. Back in the day you walked to and from school and it was uphill both ways etc. etc. I would write you a prescription for a dose of reality but I'm not sure it would effect someone with your condition.

As of today over 300 QS are signed up and awaiting the eventual payoff. If you are one of the few who havent, get it done.

Lawsuit is dead. It was a one Q bitching who sucked at their job, and got nothing done. Another, "where can I get a check without working" type person. They managed to get a couple more people online with it, then it was drowned in the water.

No substance to this suit. Joke really.
