I've had the misfortune of doing contract work for Sheridan at two companies. He is by far the most arrogant person I have ever worked with. He does know how to manipulate the people under him. The puppie dog dba's at Verispan jumped through hoops for him because they thought he was the Zen Master. Sit! Heal! Stay! Rollover! How did that work out for you? Have you finally realized you are not as talented as Sheridan made you out to be? hahahahahahaha

 

Why so much turnover? Are people getting canned for lack of sales or are people quiting because they are unhappy?

 

Rumor has it is that SDI is buying a chunk of WK....this should be interesting...Keith Sheridan will be looking for work again!

Heard the same rumor from a customer today. What's going on? No one in Scottsdale knows anything. Are we buying SDI or are they buying us?

Check out the SDI threads. They're talking smack about buying you guys. If that does somehow happen, expect massive layoffs. I worked for SDI long ago and they laid off over 300 Verispan people right after they bought them so I'm sure thats the first thing they'd do if they bought you. Doesnt really matter in the end anyway, since they themselves are a sinking ship.

 

It is the only thing SDI can do. They are in deep trouble. Spending too much for data and losing customers. The investment people need to spend more and buy WK or lose their money.

If Wk was smart they would let current situation play out and SDI will be gone within a year. Does WK have the patience...time will tell.

 

former WK person that is now atSDI. What a mistake I made. This place, SDI, makes WK look like a Forbes Top 20 company. So much petty bs. Biggest egos in the business, especially the tech/ops/dba areas. Not that I would go back to WK but this place SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! What ever happend to less reliance on contractors at SDI? Morale sucks. I know it sucks at WK also but at least there is not the back stabbing, me me me attitude at WK. HR Dept needs to be abolished at SDI. Waste of $ for people that do absolutely nothing. Ohh wait they are busy putting pamphlets together for open enrollment. I'm sure they are earning their pay.

 

Both companies suck....they are made for each other.

 

Mr. Sheridan is now leaving Wolters Kluwer it is about time, nothing but a waste.

Sheridan got fired from Verispan and now he's gotten fired from WK. Maybe he should try IMS and go for the hat trick.

 

Too bad BJ and JB aren't going the way of Sheridan.
