So will Glen run the new company like i3 if he's CEO? If inventive bought i3, would Glen have to follow Inventive's processes?

So, is this all of i3 - including statprobe? Will there be layoffs or do you all know yet? What about the huge Lilly contract i3 secured in the Fall 2010? What about Gregg? I know folks at i3. Used to really like the company. Hears hoping things work out for you all.

if i3 had three rounds of layoffs in 2010 and the ceo is going to be the ceo of inventive that doesn't sound good for inventive or i3 employees. what are they thinking?

not all of i3 just poor performing cro part etc. andy s got sick of glenn b and rumor is he will be gone within 6 months. also other retained parts will have problem as now competing with merck-medco which bought ubc so hecon/epi at i3 is screwed.

Sale was pharma resourcing (profitable), statprobe (profitable) and the CRO (basket case). Andy S wanted to keep innovus and pharma informatics as they are a good match for Ingenix and have footprint outside of USA. Glenn went with the sale, who knows how long he'll stay. Ingenix have been paring down staff and reorganising key shared functions to get this sale ready for a year.

No jobs will be lost. Inventiv is SOLID and will help i3 get back on board.

glad the jobs are safe. What about the employees?

the jobs are not safe. never have been before sale with 4 down-sizings and are not now with sale. Word is that reductions of 30-35% in next year.

Is drug safety first to go?

If another company is buying them, how can they say they're going to downsize? Isn't that up to the new company that purchases them?

Do you seriously think that Inventiv is not down-sizing the CRO portion? They can't compete well with stand-alone CROs that are growing, having clin pharm units, partnership deals with many major pharma companies, already expanded in to China with real resources before i3 ever got off its butt. More layoffs to come; especially in medical and scientific affairs, and project management
