true enough...but it is hard when you are interviewing, looking to make the leap to device...life altering decisions & you hear negative comments about the company- and the hiring manager---You want to make a smart and informed decision so who do you ask?????? Does anyone have anything positive to say about KCI or Donohoe?????? Honest answers only without the BS. If I take a pay cut to take a TAM position with KCI under Donohoe... to get into device will I be frieking miserable, micro managed and smothered to death? How long are you given to bring your numbers up if you are not to goal before all hell breaks loose? Will I get the experience in the OR I want as a TAM or will I just be doing In Services while the AE will do Cases? This is in NW PA....does anyone know the territory volume there???? Is it to goal currently & who is the AE there??? Is Donohoe really that horrible to work for -honestly????? I know I am asking for a lot of information from you out there but I have NO desire to sabatoge my life..... so please help with your honest feedback asap.

Dumb ass you are obviously interviewing. Stop the drama ask Donohoe yourself. He would know all those answers why would we ???????????????? Obviously your a dumb ass pharma rep too that wants to work 4 hours a day and have a pay check handed to you. From the questions your asking sounds like you want it handed to you and a golden territory NW PA??????? All I can say is from what I hear Donohoe works all the time because he has no life but KCI. Think he has been here for about 15 years or so.

 

These are valid questions. I am in a similar situation, & expect an offer any day. I need the job so I am willing to overlook all of my concerns with the management style. and the way I understand it the goals are primarily the AE responsibility so they will be the one micromanaged. Micromanagers are not impossible - you just have to play their game. They are micromanagers because it is all they know. Their lack of confidence is projected on to the rep to make you seem like the one who is a poor performer. look at this opportunity for what it is if you are coming from pharma - a way to get device sales on a resume.

 

MARK MY WORDS !!!! YOU will be sorry if you take this position under Mike Donohoe. My only suggestion would be to do your homework and ask around. Mike Donohoe can not keep a full staff of employees--- THAT is A FACT. Call around and ask what others think. It will not be hard to find honest responses to how people truly feel about this manager. I know people who have pulled themself out of the interview process after asking around and finding out how he realy is. RUN RUN RUN

Came from a pharma company a couple years ago. The environment here is similar. There is absolutely no teamwork and people are like canibals here. Being new I have not the most experience but it appars we are in a panic state and everybody is just looking out for themselves. I was told just over two years ago when interviewing that the environment quite different then it is. Only gotten worse over time.

 

This must mean we will be receiving our butterball turkeys for xmas.

He will mess you up. His team is all gone but the mess he has in Charleston. He fired 4 in PA in the last 5 months. Why the mess Nurse-TAM-AE whatever she is in charleston is here blows my mind. Why would you pick on SS, she has taken his CRAP for years! She is an AE who works very hard, and trust me he is a hard manager to work for. If you hate Mike that's fine, everyone does, but leave SS alone.
