Got my rental car today, anyone know what the company cars will be? Heard rumor that all newly hired reps will get leftovers from the displaced reps.

I thought there were serious people on this board. While there are hard feelings out there, myself included, it is unfair for people who are asking serious questions to be treated so immaturely. To the original poster, Congrats and I hope you get a very nice car!

Immaturely? How about being professional and asking your new DM the question? How about being professional and not asking about "leftover" cars? This is a highly sought after position that is supposed to require maturity and professionalism and we still get car questions, I weep for the future.

These folks have legit questions. Coming from an allowance which allowed me to drive anything I wanted, moving to a company car, especially a crappy sedan is a letdown. But it would be nice to know what color of Malibu I would get. Give the previous posters a break. A car is not, nor should it be a deal breaker. For those of you who got fired or had friends who got axed, well welcome to the fuckin' club junior. This is endemic of this industry and you know it.

A car is a car. Just be happy you get one especially with the way the economy is going.

why are you people so rude??????? I, too, am curious. Could someone be KIND enough to let me know what cars Otsuka reps drive? THANKS and don't be obnoxious. It's a very legitimate question. We are curious. I want to give my wife my old Taurus. THANK YOU, in advance and NO shitty responses please.

I have a Subaru Legacy and I love it. The other option is the Ford Fusion.

it varies widely from what level you are hired in at to how many miles are on the existing car in the territory- some reps that were downsized had minvans-some had toyota camrys all the way to highlanders the new hires can order forrester-fusion-etc-----why do you keep asking the reps on cafe pharma-? We would have no idea of that information-why dont you ask the hiring manager? You are acting as if this is a deal breaker and if it is then go right to the source and ask-and if it isnt then really who cares-

I never said this was a "deal breaker". I was just curious. I don't see the harm in asking. I assume I'll get a used car, and that's ok. I appreciate the opportunity and the job.

How much do you guys/ladies get for cell phones and internet? I have not yet asked. I am hoping for an offer early this week. Thanks

hey bud, you dont have to justify your car question to any of the douche-bags on here! The car and car options are ALWAYS A DEAL BREAKER for me, and most if not all of us are in the same camp on that. that is why we jump companies and the average tenure at one pharma company is less than 18 months (fact) and why we have prerequisites like salary, capped bonus, manager culture, and CAR! Get a set of balls and stick to what you find important, no shame in that!!!!

You glorified trunk monkey, I weep for you, asshat. Don't you get it, YOU cannot ask questions like this to an Otsuka manager, they only want rah rah discussion and no questions that can be twisted into anything they may shed an ounce of dissatisfaction about or could be portrayed as a logical question regarding this company or job.

This is the culture created here, a cult full of insecure micromanagers,
it is legitimate to inquire about car, roommates at training, yearly incentive raises, micromanagement, calls per day, paper or electronic sigs, ride along frequency, locked target panels, only paid on zip codes, early view or soft data, how bonus is calculated, patent expirations, pipeline, salary bands, career pathways and how long it takes to earn a raise or title upgrade, ability to transfer around the company or country if one decides to move or wants a fresh start, why the rep before you terminated, etc.......

ONE must know the answers to all these questions if they are "professional"......or want any sort of job satisfaction or success....it is just the way it goes...
