I was called regarding an Energy Expert position within your Valley Lab division and would appreciate any input.

Selling LigaSure devices to GYN, General Surgeons, and Urologists against Ethicon Harmonic and GyrusACMI. Considering robot is taken hold, there are less cases to go around. With that said, this a good opportunity, but don't expect to make more than 150k. And, be prepared to look again within 3-4 years because you will be quoted out eventually. Best of luck!

Shouldn't you have experience with Valley Lab to be an "Energy Expert"? Or do they just train you from an amateur to an expert?

Thanks for reply. How's the Southern California Territory? Are Ethicon or GyrusACMI major players in that market?

Don't expect to make over $150? Comp at plan is $150. I personally know 2 reps that were over $300 last year--it isn't common, but it's doable.

I know nothing about SoCal reps, competitors, market, etc. but having worked in devices for the last 9 years I can tell you that the valleylab/covidien name and the ligasure line in particular have a very good reputation in the OR. Their stuff can be pricey, but the technology is pretty reliable. Good luck in your search.

no of course not..."We are Covidien" and with the least amount of experience you would earn the title "Strategic Global Blah Blah Blah" with 2 years you get "Director of Strategic Global Blah Blah Blah". The unfamiliar or fresh out of college are "experts".
