This statement should not be limited to Canada but TFX as a whole !

Teleflex is a joke. I work in the Vascular Division and constantly deal with backorders and poor corporate business decisions. Reps are always losing business due to backorders and recalls- causing the majority of the salesforce to make little- no commission for their efforts. I made more money my first job out of college. Corporate never fixes the issue and holds the reps responsible for their screw-ups. They launch new products before they are ready( Wand & Evolution ) and give reps limited training and resources. No wonder Bard is kicking our ass!!

Teleflex is an extremely unmotivating environment and most all the sale people are looking for better opportunities. Every week a good rep is leaving for a better opportunity. Over the last several weeks the company has downsized many good reps(many top performers) and mangers (more lay-offs to come)....I guess this is how they are fixing their manufacturing issues and bad business decisions! (BTW they gave no notice & only 2 weeks severance to most of the employees they laid-off). This is a second rate company that has a ton of issues. I don't know one rep that is happy. I can't wait to get out of this shit hole!

I warn you ......only take this job if you absolutely need device experience or are hard-up!

    RUN!!!

This is an extremely accurate assessment of teleflex medical. The unofficial mantra of Teleflex..."Three Steps Forward & Four Steps Backward.....Everytime!" Let's be honest, senior leadership is the biggest problem in this company. All of us in Canada keep wondering if anyone at HQ will EVER wake-up and finally fire Mills and Reynolds, it is long overdue!

If you put Bill and David's business acumen and leadership skills together, with the power generated you just may be able to toast a whole wheat slice of bread....very, very lightly!!

Not possible as there just isn't enough mental power there to do anything constructive. Both are complete bozos...and they still manage to keep a job at TFX? Amazing.

Another surgical sales rep quit this week, couldn't take anymore bullshit from Bill Reynolds! Funny enough, this rep is exactly like Bill - full of shit, self-indulgent and semi-illiterate - wonder why they didn't get along? Only take a job here if you are very, very, very desperate....is company is a huge joke!

Already did, thank god! TFX is filled with losers that are waiting it out to retirement or more likely, are simply second raters that can't get hired at a real med device company. Hate to disappoint you but David and Bill epitomize second rate leadership, that's a known fact, they are the laughing stock of device companies in Canada! Good luck to you

Rumor has it that the Surgical Director of Sales has resigned. If true that's two resignations from the same team in less than one week? Job seekers, starting to get the hint that there is a major problem with this company? Stay far away!

JB and his team aren't the issue. Problem is the the IDN program itself and our customer fulfillment issues. The IDN program pays rebates on growth over PY but we don't have enough business in anyone of our divisions, except maybe vascular which is declining, to drive compliance and our rebates aren't aggressive enough to drive coversions. Your pay would also be based on growth in these IDN accounts. Few conversions + backorders= no commissions. We've lost 3-4 key reps in the last 3 weeks. It's a sinking ship and everyone is headed for their lifeboat.

How are the respiratory and anesthesia divisions? Are they worth considering?

No. Unless you are hopelessly unemployed and desperately need a pay cheque, run as fast as you can from TFX. Read this board, even if you take out some of the more extreme comments, there is a lot of truth about how dysfunctional TFX really is....

Corporate Team is good. JB is a good guy to work for and has a great plan for the team that is now backed up by the CEO. We gained a lot of contracts and traction in the last few months and the company overall is hitting the number. You will find some on here grumbling because of the recent reorg but if you look at a 30,000 ft level it is acutally good change to get us to really be a pure play medical device company. The overall comments from the customer is they like working with Teleflex. Good products and good people. Backorders have been an issue but we are hoping that the changes with logistics will turn that around.

Pay is better on the Anesthesia side but they also have more backorders. Good VP's and Managers there. I know they are making a difference. Respiratory sales is an entry level medical device job but you can move to other divisions if you do well. Products are well liked by the customer.
