I have an opportunity to interview with Wright. What is their marketshare for joints. Can you convert business with them or is this just a way to break in and then move to a different company. The recruiter said they are doing well but a distant family friend who works in orthopedics said to hold out for a better company.
Like any device position or real estate one of the biggest factors is...Location - Location - Location. Depending on where the position is and what shape the territory is you can make a good living with WMT.
One of the great things about being a rep at Wright is that you will get recon business simply because of the Wright name. Any given year you may get a new joint surgeon who just completed on of the many Wright fellowships aroun the country. When there's a need for a hinge knee, they are calling Wright. We all know that Guardian is the gold standard of hinge knees.
Last post was great. For those who are looking at Wright, only look at the foot and ankle or full line positions. Wright is not in many teaching hospitals so the surgeons who move to your area will most likely be using Stryker, Depuy, Zimmer, Biomet, or Smith and Nephew. Wright medical's revision portfolio is a joke. You will be fighting an uphill battle with a limited product bag.
