I've heard from a non MA Region member that many of them were approved to fly into the NSM a day early including their RSM. Is this just blatant favoritism or can all EST employees fly in the day before? Knowing where most of them live, I don't see why they have been approved to come in a day early. Non stop flights that arrive in plenty of time to easily make the meeting. I would like to come in at my leisure on Monday too!! Is the company paying for their rooms for an extra night? And paying for their meals for an extra day? How many others got this special treatment? Nothing against the folks, but this is going to get around, as it already has, and it just seems like these folks whine and whine and then get their RSM to get approvals. And then she gets approved too from what I've heard? Policies are not being enforced fairly and I think it sucks the rest of us will be flying in that day from much further away in some cases.

Is this really true? Who is going the day before and why? Why would TP or JW approve something like that or allow that to happen? Is the entire region going a day early? I don't get it. I guess if you whine enough and ass kiss you get special treatment.

I guess since TP removes every post that mentions his desire to hit on all the women, employees or not, is further proof of why he approved only women to come on out a day early to the meeting. Mr Obvious, you have a problem. Tool box.

In the future, pick up the phone and ask your manager if this is the case and if it is so see if you can do the same. Some times companies allow this so you can adjust to the time change, not a huge deal. actually if this is true it is a very kind gesture by management.

You're an idiot. It's a kind gesture to a very specific set of women for the purpose of what? Adjusting to the time change? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! It's called FAVORITISM!! The RSM should have stopped it the minute it started, but no, she caved in and instead of doing her job and managing her people, she approves all the requests and then gets herself approved to go a day early too! What a joke. TP is soft. Pathetic.

These stupid decisions that violate every other companies travel policies will come back to haunt the morons that approved them. Just watch! Hey, can I go to the meeting 3 days early so my colon can get used to all the avocado's! Why not? It's just as dumb as needing to adjust to the time change!

hey wait a minute...I'm flyin in a day early and paying for my hotel room & food for Monday. If you want to fly in a day early and foot your own bill you are more than welcome too - your manager will approve it, no problem. This is what we are doing.
Monday 1/16 is a paid holiday so we have it off anyway...
Be sure you know all the details before you complain...

Be careful. I did this once. I didn't bother to get it approved because I didn't consider it any of their business what I did on my day off and it didn't cost them anything and CB had a fit.

As I said - it's already been approved. Anytime you travel on a company dime you need to let them know about it. It may be your day off but they paid for the ticket.

???? How does my going early effect the company when I am paying for it? I am employed by the company not enslaved by it. They paid for the ticket to get me there and back and I am going there and back. Thanks for taking time to reply CB. Maybe this attitude is one of the many reasons why you are so unsuccessful at your job.

Are we adults or in kindergarten? Are you serious? Any adult can go wherever they please as long as they show up for the meetings. You don't need approval from management on where you are at before or after a meeting nor do you need permission from your mommy.

So you're saying the 4 or 5 people from the MA Region that are going in a day early are paying for their rooms and food themselves? Not true. They are approved to come a day early all expenses paid, holiday or not. They are not paying for the room or their food themselves. If you are, then you should ask why what is good for some is not good for you! The origianl point to this thread was favoritism. Point stands.

This is the special attention that exists in our company.
Joe Willis is a joke and this company sucks. Their probably going to tell all of us that their giving the business to Medicis like Graceway did. You run the company into the ground and then Medicis, Galderma or Allergan swoop in like vultures.

Above poster is a dumbass. Your reply has nothing to do with the topic of why some people were/are allowed to arrive a day early on company dime. Your point is about SM being bought by another company. You do not know anything about this company or the 3 you mention. Advice to you: STFU!! Idiot.
