Agreed. I am a Synergy rep and I think we got a temporary "stay of execution" before the hammer falls at the end of the year. I would have been more confident long term if they were not planning on cross training all of the BMS & AZ reps on Bydureon & Byetta. Once they go through the Legacy & Synergy territory maps and realize that they will have 4 reps with the same products in their bag calling on the same doctors, they will not need the Synergy sales force thus making us expendible. The other confusing part of the call was when they were talking about the Legacy severance package should you be laid off after stating that everyone was going to be one happy family. Definitely got mixed signals there. Well, good luck to everyone. I am going to ride this train to the station so I can get the 15K retention bonus one way or another.
That's what I heard as well. My job will be looking for a new job from now on. I would rather find a job at this time then be laid off during the holidays.

Everyone that is any good will be placed. I listened to people say we all were going to get fired for the last few months and we are still working so shut the hell up losers.
The question was asked: "What about the Synergy team?" and the reply was "We'll keep you guys around for now." I think that says it all.
They have no intention of keeping Synergy and if they had any integrity, they would give us our notice, our retention bonus and send us on our way
Here is the thing everyone is missing. They don't NEED to tell Synergy ANYTHING. We are contract. If they need us, they keep us around. If they don't, they let us go with no strings attached. The same thing that makes us valuable (flexibility) makes us expendable. While they very well may let Synergy go, they may also find that Synergy offers greater flexibility while providing good ROI, so they very well may honor the contract. I will be looking in the interim, but anyone who says definitively that they know what is going to happen is full of BS (unless the post is by someone at the senior leadership level or on the integration team......that WON'T happen).
Conclusion of the BMS call........ Amylin you are good for now, but when we let you go we will still feed you from the nipple ( 6 months package and all the breast milk you can drink ). Inventiv you are screwed and we will tell you that to your face. Amylin all in my ASS..... Amylin I'm going to get mine, and I hope you land on your feet.
