I heard from a rep that only Physicians can now receive food? If any of the staff eat, you can now get in trouble? Wow, if this is true, it truly is ridiculous!

I will let someone else do the typing. Basically every lunch attendee has to be predetermined. Maybe RSVPs will be the thing to do. If someone who is not profiled with a CID number attends the reps gets a coaching memo. Even if it is a new employee who just started a week ago. It will be too long to type and is like the healthcare bill (hard to understand). Just another way the company is trying to "lead the way" in the industry. While not remaining competitive with the others in the industry in my opinion. It makes life really difficult for the reps because they likely end up insulting their customers day in and day out. This is just my take and opinion. I could be wrong.

Between the slashing of our budgets and the new lunch policy, I am not rescheduling any lunches for the rest of the year. My hands are tied and I am tired of fighting the system!
    YOU WIN!

Over follow the rules even if you do not like them. The last thing you want is a coaching memo. Be overly cautious so not to put yourself at risk. That is my best advice.

The policy is something like this: You can order peanut butter and jelly for docs, pa's, np's and ma's. The rest of the staff getS peanut butter, BUT NO JELLY! lol lol

The job is actually slowly getting better in my opinion. If dinner programs and lunches totally become history, I prefer that. We spend a good bit of money and time on both and the returns do not justify the investment. These tactics worked in the 80's and 90's.

What do you think? Are they worth the investment today?
