Core Essence

Has anybody seen this new company Core Essence in your territory? They have a knotless anchor. Have they done any cases anywhere? I heard that some guy named Al Weinstein is trying to get independents to sell this. What is the word on this?

 

Haven't seen them in my territory. If this is the same guy I am thinking about, he totally ran Pegasus into the ground. He also screwed most Opus distributors and many are still owed money. This makes us stronger. He sound like a real douche back that is looking out for number one, and it ain't you. Don't sweat.

 

I am not with Arthrex, but this EMG concept with Weinstein is a farce, They are repping a Growth factor, artelon, and an anchor company who's anker doesn't deploy..They are trying to get management contracts and become middle men, while setting up the distribution channel. Only problem is that they have no business plan. Th old guy Al just had prostate or leg surgery and is completely lost at sea (As in Altheimers major league) . They fucked several good Opus buddies, but what comes around goes around.

They tried to even rep our company which is already going direct to ASC. Bullshit proposal, no business plan and yet they lied like they started the ortho market completely.

Tell me who is selling this bag of dogs and why the dogs are together in the first place. # 1 most retarded plan I heard recently. Al should go back to setting up direct Pegasus dealers so they can all get fucked some more.

 

Yeah Core Essence is going down big time. They just let go my RM who was fantastic and the rest of their sales managers and reps because they're broke. Don't pick up the line, they pulled back all of our trays and the word is they have to sell off their lines on the cheap.

 

Is there anyone left there? CEO is gone, sales force is gone. Inventory recalled. What's up?

 

No they eliminated their new CEO who was there like a month to clean house. He's an investor at that. One of the SBI guys along with the others. He also got rid of their VP, COO (the brothers who founded the company). I'd say they're done. The anchor looked plausible. The other stuff looked me too-ish.

Yeah and the Artimplant guys have their reps selling off label because they are desperate. The whole thing is wrong

Now there are Only 4? Wow they keep reducing their employees. Their stock is almost non-existent. We had that spacer at SBI and it was dog shit. They had some good people like a year ago. Who is working it now? One of my docs said he met one a few weeks ago and said he was not impressed.

 

They just can't get the right leadership in place. I heard they brought over a rep and put him in charge.

 

The rep in charge has very little device experience. His inexperience is glaring.

Not even an Orthopedics rep. Saw him at a meeting and he spent the entire time on the phone and was too important I guess to talk to Surgeons.

Jones was a freaking sales rep at at Genzyme when I was there and I (along with a ton of other reps) smoked his ass. He has no Ortho experience for true implants. We're all laughing because they fired him and he did nothing for years then finagles his way to being the president at Artimplant? How desperate or stupid is their senior management? He went and hired all his boys who worked with us too! NEP-O-TISM Bitches! He never leaves Texas and works from his house but they have headquarters in Colorado. My principal turned down the line after he met one of the managers from Nebraska. We've got plenty more to sell in Oklahoma than some mesh from a company whose stock is 1/2 of a penny.

 

I have heard similar about this group. Minimal experience, do not spend time in the field selling and do not understand the ortho sale. I wonder why they went with Jones?

 

I heard Jones ran them out of business.

 

They are definitely running on fumes.

 

I believe JJ was terminated.
