What does lack of tack mean? Oh, I get it. Lack of tact. More like lack of understanding of the English language.

 

Maybe the poster was making a rhyme..of course, that would be counted as "being creative" which as we all know is a Class One violation here at J&J.

 

Class One violation along with displaying any type of personality. You need to be predictable and mechanical. It might also help to be a dufus with no charm like TC or RS. Finally, it can't hurt to pass the buck like they apparently do and not take responsibility for what results they have and how ineffective they manage.

 

Managers most of the time are cop wannabes on power trips at j&j. Most really have no clue how to interact with people

Mr. Rabbit was walking down the road when he spotted a crow sitting on a tall tree.

Mr. Rabbit shouted up, Whatcha doin' today? and the answer shouted back down was, Nothin' Mr. Rabbit, absolutely nothin' and loving it.

Well, that sounded pretty good to Mr. Rabbit, so he shouted back up, Do you think I could do that too?

Mr. Crow shouted back down, I don't see why not!

So, Mr. Rabbit lay down on the side of the road and started talking and doing nothing.

In 30 minutes, a fox came along and ate him.

The moral of the story is:
You can get away with talking and doing nothing if you are a manager at J&J.

 

Good managers at this company are few and very far between!!! They may start out as good but once they belly up to the kool aid & start sucking it in; they're history!!

 

My favorite manager is Casandra Anthony Thomas!!!! She can only be your favorite if your skin is black. She is a reversed racist wench! She uses and abuses the system. I do not have to mention but I will that she is dumber than dirt!!! We all know why she got her job and still has it how many years later. Cassandra you will pay for all teh crap you have done through out the years.

 

It's all about CONTROL

 

Tim Conner has both lack of tact and lack of understanding of human interaction. He has been seen taking two hour lunches or longer and finagling free food from various establishments to feed his ego and girth so he can brow beat the poor rep with a soliloquy of how Conner knows best and hearing his dufus country accent will solve anything. It doesn't matter if you have heard his words of wisdom or his "Big Country" filibuster before. He believes the sound of his voice is the miracle drug that Janssen should be marketing. He is the "Will Rogers" of eating as he has never met a meal he didn't love

 

You forgot to mention he is never wrong even when he is. He once hit a deer with the company vehicle but since he is the self appointed safe driving ambassador he chose to blame the deer and call it an incident. He probably had Bambi for lunch later.

 

Mr. Big Country, Big Ego, Enormous Girth - Tim 'Dufus' Conner is at it again as he kept his group until 6 at the latest meeting. This is because they will only improve by getting more of the Oracle of Ortho-McNeil or the Jabber-Jaws of Janssen. Just ask him as his narcism extends to hearing his presentations in the car or on voicemail. He obviously does not adhere to the concept of "less is more."

 

Mr. Big Ego is at it again. Now he is adding "Big Bully" to his many nicknames. Neither he nor Janssen get how big a problem he is. He had to go through a feedback session with his district and HR. He is clearly seen as a bully and not very helpful as a supervisor or coach. What additional evidence is needed when 2/3 of his own district see him as hostile. How many good reps does this Tim "Big Bully" Conner have to run off before he is shown the door as a manager? If ever someone should not have any supervisory role it would be Mr. "Big Ego" himeself. Someone please show some courage and have mercy for his reps and get this large, narcissistic, bully out of management before more serious problems surface. Most sound minds know that you need to remove or punish the culprit and not the victims.

 

I only worked for him a short time but I agree he seemed to be a nice guy not stuck up or anything then I went to Lilly and things went downhill

 

Ding Dong the Big Bully (Tim Conner) is gone! Janssen, in perhaps it's smartest move in many years, has parted ways with the big bully, big, country, big ego, big girth, germaphobe, Conner. Thus sparing many of the huge unpleasantness that is working with him or under him. This is a
move that should have taken place long ago as all the warning signs were very evident. Let's hope for the good of all reps and the industry that he is never in any supervisory or management role again.

 

It's encouraging to see that Randy Schieberle has been incompetent for a while now. He was the worst person I've ever had to work for and I'm sure his narrow-mindedness will continue to plague district after district.

 

You couldn't be more accurate with your assessment of Randy Schieberle. Narrow-minded and narcissistic for sure, not to mention self-righteous. His pseudo-humble act serve to hide his egotistic ways that block him from seeing his incompetence as a manager. His self-proclamation as being the best and most diligent Christian make him feel he is in the right on how poorly he treats some in his district, especially the males. He obviously missed the sermon on the "Golden Rule"- treat others as you would have them treat you. I guess he feels he can make it up by sending religious and political emails over the company's email system to his district without any consequences to him from the company despite their knowledge of his actions. He has all the makings of a zealot. He often comes out as shiny as his bald head.

 

I totally agree with you. However, you forgot to include great embellishing skills to Randy Schieberle's narcissistic and narrow-minded qualities. He claims he won an NCAA shooting contest. Yet when you see his so-called championship medal it is not an NCAA championship winning medal nor is he or his team listed as the champions in any year for the NCAA title. He also claims he was a championship soccer player and so knowledgeable about sports yet he can't answer the simplest questions on any sport and if he was on any soccer team he had to have been the manager as his clumsy feet would have them trip on the ball. Finally, he claims to be this great hospital representative while belittling a very good, loyal, and far more experienced employee who is respected by all that have worked for him or under him.

 

I have to completely disagree with all of the comments about Randy Schieberle. I worked with him very closely for several years. I found him to be hard working,smart, team player and an excellent territory rep as well as hospital rep. In addition to the incredible work ethic he was an great famiy man and was ALWAYS a gentleman! I am sure that theis is ONE person that he put on corrective action and you think it makes you feel better to get on Cafe Pharma and complain and spread rumors. SHAME ON YOU!! I would hire him for any leadership position and would love to work with him again.

 

You must either a female or a Sunday Christian as those are the only people he is a true gentlemen around. No he definitely has a self serving agenda behind that phony exterior you went to great lengths to describe. There is no shame in being totally upfront and honest. If he were the person you described he would treat others as he would want to be treated. To your point he has put many good people with excellent results and the work ethic you describe on corrective action - I not being one of them but knowing three of them. They were all male who had far more experience, integrity, and moral character than Randy. They just didn't think everything revolved around his every word.

 

Wow, I was excited when I first saw this post...thought finally someone on this site would say something nice about a person. Amazing how many hold on to bitterness years later. Well I used to work for Ortho long ago. One of the nicest men in the industry took a chance on me and hired me out of college. He was a great manager who taught me how to do it right, how to sell and how to have a lot of fun while doing it!....
