incompetent managers hire incompetent people and upper management turns a blind eye. then upper management asks for our feedback but we can't give it because we'd have to go against our managers and there's no way to be anonymous except here

The new CEO had a company wide meeting yesterday and nobody asked any questions. He said he wants to improve morale. Morale is so low that nobody bothered to ask any questions.

The new CEO came to the NC office earlier this month and didn't get many questions in person, either. Maybe because he didn't say anything worth responding to.

They are still working on the IT integration (with a slight implication that something might actually happen in the next 12-18 months - it's a priority now, you see). They are working on "people management capabilities" (his words), which includes reviews and career tracks. And, of course, the ever-present focus on retention, with no indication of what that really means - bonuses? raises? changing things so you don't have to counteroffer when people quit?

Why weren't these things priorities for the past 18 months??

Mostly, Ray implied that, had he been here last year, it would have all been done by now. And he implied that Paul M is focused on getting all of the inVentiv companies integrated now (as opposed to having a few dozen brands that can't talk to each other, no matter how often you hyphenate them together).

Guess Paul figured out that we can't hide the cracks in the facade any longer. And we aren't being treated in a manner that makes us want to. Easier to leave and go somewhere without the IT and process issues that literally stop us from doing business.

As Ray put it, "we are rebuilding in 2013 back to where we were in 2010."

If being back to where it was in 2010 means being led by Glenn Bilawsky and a part of UnitedHealth Group with inVentiv and PharmaSuck nowhere to be found, I want in!

Do we get back the 2010 vacation time? If we do maybe fewer people will leave.

The only moron that would write this statement is Glenn Bilawsky himself. Nice try Glenn...

Worst CEO ever in the CRO industry.

I've worked under GB at two companies (INC and i3) and greatly preferred him to the successor at both. To me, what's really wrecked the place (both) after GB left is the capital partners coming to the foreground. I don't doubt that they guided GB at both CROs, but he seemed to hide it better from the lowest level workers. When the capital partners are out in front, rather than a person who we report to through some structure, morale always sinks. At inVentiv, I am acutely aware that I work for capital partners, not people; and the capital partners don't care about the people.

Compared to his successors Glenn was a freaking Bill Gates. i3 wasn't perfect pre-Inventive, of course, but it was a hell of better place to work than after Inventive screwed it up.

Upper Management never gets it. Do they REALLY think that having a meeting with every employee who may be feeling helpless is the way to find out what is broken???? The best way to find out what is ailing the company is bringing people in and interviewing them confidentially. What person in their right mind will stand up and start venting in front of the entire company in a CEO meeting? Really?????

It's still a sweat shop. Now there are major lay offs coming to AA and Somerset. It's always something.

    Time to update my CV.

Layoffs at the AA site, wow. Have not worked with inventiv, but did collaborate with them when they were "i3". Is AA still one of their main locations?

Speaking of offices... on the Inventiv Health Clinical website, I notice several of the i3 offices are not listed on the "locations" webpage anymore. Like, Austin, Cinci., Lexington, and Cary.... Cary?? Really?? Can anyone comment on this; are these offices closed now?

What positions had layoffs in AA? When is the lease up on that office?
