ethicon clinical training resident

I applied to the ethicon clinical training resident program, I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on getting an interview? I have done a lot of research on the position, this seems like a good fit for me but if I don't get an interview it really doesn't matter. Any advance is highly apperciated.

 

My "advance" is to RUN!!! and RUN fast!

 

From reading other posts on this blog that seems to be the consensus. I know I am new to this, but is there anyway that you can explain to me why it is that bad.

 

It is a great entry level position for med device and a gateway to a great sales career. The training that you will receive, both clinical and sales, is top notch and will prepare you well for a sales career. I don't know why anyone would say the CTR position isn't worth it. It's not like you have to spend your career at Ethicon and you will be very attractive to other employers with this kind of experience.

Here is some advice..don't come to cafe pharma for objective information. Half of the people here are bitter because they have already been fired and the other half is on a performance plan. They couldn't/can't cut it so they want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.
ETHICON is a great place to work and earn a lot of $$. Good luck!

curious what you call "ALOT OF MONEY " Please clarify

 

Go into the position with the expectation of doing well and learning..as well as taking it with you. Ethicon is a very easy medical device job. The products are very simple for the most part and contracts sell a lot of them for you already. The money is not good but then again, most Johnson and Johnson jobs pay on the avearge for the industry. I worked for Ethicon and thought that the training was great even if I didn't use a lot of it but I went on to more demanding medical device sales jobs and earned more and worked a lot harder. Think of Ethicon as a good starting place but you should look to move on after two years or so because it is not regarded as a serious or challenging device sales position.

 

I've not made under $175k in the last 6 years. Maybe that's not a lot to you but I'm comfortable

 

After hearing what everyone has to say I am still very interested, how do I ensure that I can get an interview? I feel that I am a good fit for this position but I could use some pointers.
