It all depends on whether or not you have a college degree. If you have a college degree you will be called a Hospital Account Liaison. In this case you will be salaried. If you are a high school grad than you will be called an Account Liaison and you will be paid hourly. If you do not have a high school diploma or a GED than you will be fast tracked to a position on the operations side such as a Branch Manager.

The earnings for a HAL/AL have both been going down and this is consistent with all positions at Apria. Target earnings for both positions right now including salary/wages/overtime/bonus is around 35K.

This is a horrible place to work though so I suggest that you look elsewhere unless you are currently unemployed.

    Hope this helps

I would disagree. First, the salaries have gone up and the bonus plan is well alligned. Second, if you don't like the company then leave!

This salary range is not accurate. The HAL/AL position starts $35-55K based on experience with up to 20K potential commission for hitting targets.

Okay. You are right and I must have been misinformed when I was told that this was all that I could offer a candidate a year ago. Not a bad gig for a HS grad. Enjoy!

You are a cool aid drinking moron. The previous poster from last year was correct. This was all that we could "really" offer at that time back when you were finishing your 6th year of High School. This is below the CA household poverty line and you can make more on unemployment.

Now get off your company issued computer, pull out your crayons and draw me a Big Picture of a rainbow in the sunshine. Sunshine!

Can anyone tell me aboutt the benefits here? I have heard good things about Apria (not on this site), so I have an interest. Company car, credit card and profit sharing? What about the quota? Are they realistic? I have sold cell phones for 3 years and currently make 92k, but that is probably going to change soon.

Sorry but you are the moron who obviously is mistaken. The hospital account position is a 'gopher' position not a true sales position, thus why it is near the bottom of the sales scale. You are the one who is confused. You know Zippo!

Agreed! Im a HAL. They call me the 'gopher king.' The gopher king of the west!! Got bigger balls than my branch manger and more nuts my bank account too! Started me at 55K and bumped me up to 65K 3 months later cause everybody new I wasnt afraid to hussle. Hussles my middle name. Gonna make 85K this year not including tips and freebies for my family and friends. Apria is the best decision I ever make!

Thank you for validating my point. You can say a lot of bad things about Apria but they do pay some of the highest wages in respiratory DME. If you are underpaid at Apria it is because YOU weren't bright enough to push for more or they just know you aren't worth it!

Well said gopher. Them there are some pretty high wages at Apria. But why let Apria/DME hold you back? You should come to work for me at Amway. Brite gophers like YOU can make hundreds!

ha ha...I am not a SalesGopher and I am sure you would be quite shocked if you saw what I get paid for the job I do at Apria ;) but continue on, you know-nothing. I have actual facts and numbers because I SEE the REAL numbers paid (in the Northeast anyway) to people. I say it again, Apria sucks to work at, you are treated like a disposable item, and the medical benefits blow but they do pay the BEST in the Respiratory DME industry compared to all major regional and national players. The pay is the ONLY reason I am still here.

Congratulations Gopher! I am sure that all of our customers would be quite shocked by what we get paid for the job that we do at Apria too based on the crappy service provided here. You make a lot of money, good for you. I'd be rich if I got paid a buck everytime one of my customers tells me how much they hate our lousy screwed up company.

Ummm yeah, I am not in sales. But I disagree that it is just our company that is screwed up but rather the whole DME reimbursement system that is screwed up. How can you survive by only getting paid for a product but not the service when the service component is the most expensive thing you provide.

I came over from a rival company here in Ca. and accepted 110k for said position. Gonna milk it until Jan 2015 and go back to my old company because I understand Apria is going under.

I can't believe you aren't getting paid as much as Gopher out East?

glassdoor.com lists the average pay for this position as mid 40's. Any possible way to make 80-100k here?
