Does anyone know if those recently "let go" were given any type of a severance? I heard the RAM's were let go a month or so back were given a package and I heard it wasn't all that good. A flat 6 weeks or something like that. Could anyone share the specifics of the severance? Thanks.

You are too funny. Severance is just another added expense on a company that is already WAY underwater. Anything we get will be the minimum.......those that hang on until C-11 will get nothing. Find another job, double dip.

I think the OP just wanted to know if they were given any type of a severance package. Heck, I'd like to know that too! Did they just kick them to the curb and say good bye or did they at least give them like 4 months pay and benefits. I'd really like to know because I'd like to see if I'll get anything if they sever me.

Anyone know if there was any type of a package given to our severed compatriots?

Yeah, funny like dead company jokes.

How do you make a dead company stock float?

Take two scoops of dead company stock add ice cream and milk.....

Um, that would be a shake. To make a float you would add root beer instead of milk. Some people like Coke floats too. I guess you could add Coke. Not milk though. That would make it a shake and the joke would be even less funny if it opened with, "How do you make a dead company stock shake?"

I'd have done it like this, "How do you make a dead company float? Add two scoops of ice cream and root beer." It still sucks as a joke but it doesn't suck as bad as your original one.

Now keep practicing and maybe just maybe you will be funny some day.

I heard (not confirmed - 4th hand) that the package to the RAM's was actually impressive. Straight 6 months pay (didn't matter how long with they had been with the company)and get to keep benefits during that time. After the 6 months they can go on COBRA but that will significantly increase their monthly cost for the health insurance. Can anyone confirm?

I call bullshit. I've been in this industry for 23 years and I've never hear of such a crappy package. Especially for RAM positions. Worst I've ever seen is 3 months and that was at a POS company. Minimum for that level is 4 to 6 months then two weeks for every year worked. Hell, at Shire we had some RAM's getting 60 weeks which was the CAP on severance.

Surely the displaced RAM's here got more than one month. I'm calling bullshit.

Call whatever you want dickface, this is a POS copany that put a CEO in that had never been a CEO and the one before him (JJ) was a CEO for 18 days when the company was bought out. he came in and used the Co and Shitted all over it. The biggest turd was bringing in LF, PP, and SS. LF coudnt managed his way out of a wet paper bag. He didnt last a year. PP was given the national job. SS was let go at JnJ and BMS and genetech. C'mon. This is not SHIRE. This is a POS company that can't make 5MM a quarter, even after they double the price of the drug. The RAMs get 4 weeks. How can you call BS when you havent a clue. thats makes you BS like LF, JJ and SMO.

Just to set the record straight. The above post is correct with the number "4". But it was "4" months of severance NOT "4" weeks. That's what I heard. So when you just want to trash the company and spread rumors know that some people in the know will call you on it. It was 4 months not 4 weeks. Nice try hater. Later.

Well then you must have really pissed someone off or been a really shitty RAM. I too heard the standard package was 4 months NOT 4 weeks. So is everyone lying to us and you are being truthful. I THINK NOT.

Hey Douche. The policy manual states that is the minimum they will give. So they rif'd rams should be happy they got a lot more than the 4 weeks minimum severance. 4 months is pretty good.
