I bet another big player in Animal Health buys us. I could picture BI or who knows, maybe Bayer. Either way many of us probably need to be getting our resumes ready.

We will be fine. First of all, this will take 18 months (See Zoetis). Second of all, we might be spun off. No company wants to deal w/ FTC issues over an AH unit. Ceva wouldn't have any, but most others w/ cash would.
    Keep seeling and making money!

Our guys in Basel are already in negotiation with Bayer. Have heard this from the STRAT plan lady leaving the company. It will be a "sell", not a "spin-off". No one knows what happens to us then...I am looking already for alternatives

I heard from a reputable source that we will will be merged with Sony, all of our jobs will be absorbed, except those that where born during odd numbered years. Those born during odd years will be auctioned off to circus monkeys with the option of working for Novartis pharma, but only if you sign a 3 year non compete clause. I'm totally serious. Also, everyone had an affair and all of our competition is evil, especially Merck, elanco, merial, zoetis, Neptune, petmeds, Walmart, Costco, the Oakland raiders, people that make sandboxes, people that take this site seriously, monsters, and goldfish. I'm really serious.

What? You did nothing and looted big $$$ and benefits for 10+ years and screwed NAH up, and now, you want jobs after NVS dumps NAH? Not happening - heh, heh, payback is a b*tch!

NAH pay-scales have been way over the top for years - my Merck will never brook NAH low performers - first to go will be the various Global Heads / Heads / VPs / CEOs - we will likely try to keep the resource-level folks that actually make the sales calls and sell product

Ha, ha, ha! I am quite familiar with the long-term dead-weights at NAH in South Dakota, Greensboro and elsewhere: non-value-added, overpaid, lazy, incompetent employees, and mediocre managers. Great to see capitalism finally start to weed out these bottom-feeders. Go Joe!

    Who knows....deal with it.
I remember when a lot of you Novartis idiots were flying around telling customers that you had purchased FDAH and would be selling the leftovers of what Pfizer didn't keep.
How'd that work our for ya?
Just shut the F up, stop speculating and try to sell more of the little bit of inventory you have left. And oh BTW, get your resumes updated. Your BEST scenario will be Merck buying you. Their sales reps haven't got enough sense to get out of the damn rain but then you'd still be working for a company that has even less sense.
    Example:
2014, no more free goods. We're going with a rebate program just like BI b/c it seems to be working for them..... oh crap, it's not working like we thought it would.....better go back to 5/1 free deals or BOGOs or.....oh crap, we're getting our ass gift wrapped and handed back to us by the BI reps.

BI sucks as a company. Second hand vaccines and Metacam and ..... That's all we got.

Wrong! Both Novartis and Merck reps would love for the chance to work at BI! BI has their growing pains however they do have a great long term strategy!
Fact- Merck is a notoriously cheap company, just check their threads, Merck is no more than a me too company and an old FDAH wannabe!
Fact- Novartis reps are taking anything they can get in order to get away from their sinking ship. Hell, they'd be lucky to sell cat pheromones or dog food at this point!
What a bunch of no talent losers with Merck and Novartis! It's a match made in heaven!

Expect massive cuts across NAH North America - the Swiss are generally more protected from layoffs.

If you are a 'global head' or a 'division head', you will get to negotiate a sweet exit package about 5 years pay and benefits paid in lump sum gross (valued between $2.75 MM to $12.5 MM)

If you are a salesperson, your package will be minimal - you will likely be forced out due to made up 'performance issues'
