A warning to potential distributors/ employees

If you decide to come to work for UAS just know that you are risking your reputation and physician relationships. If you are bringing an office into the UAS fold they run the risk of us pulling out if you don't meet their unofficial minimum number if patient conversions a month. This leaves the doctor looking really bad. These patients who have been taking multipal shots a day for up to years are now left out to dry. All because they were not generating enough revenue.
Also, you are stuck in a non-compete two years after you leave or get let go.

 

I tried working with them as a distributor last year. Very little communication from the home office and getting paid was like pulling teeth. If you like a great deal of frustration for minimal results, this is the place for you.

 

I hear where you are coming from but if they let you go do not worry about a non-compete clause. Their rights ended when they let you go and most states are right-to-work states which makes it almost impossible for them to enforce. Companies know it just isn't profitable for them to go after a rep unless they have inside knowledge and have a ton of business. The only thing going for them is they generally have deep pockets and can cost you a bunch of money defending yourself. I would not ever worry about a non-compete clause. 99.9% of the time those things are for show and NEVER EVER used.

 

Deceitful, reckless and unknowledgeable upper management. They will lie to you about the realistic potential and job description in your interview. I don't know anyone here who has not been blatantly lied to. Recent Big-Time cash flow problems. Layoffs during "growth mode". CEO does not know what he's doing. Flimsy business model because we only get reimbursed for 1 code and it just went down for medicaid in a state we are in. I could give me specifics but this place is too small and I don't want to get nailed for writing this. Been here less than 7 months and have been job hunting already because I think this ship won't stay floating long. The whole company is a crock.

 

The company isn't bad it's just the CEO! And he might not be around for much longer.

 

Actually, the company is bad. Even if Nick is gone the pressure to promote IT will remain. It's WAY over necessary reimbursement rates and payers are figuring this out.

 

I just got offered a position as a CAS, and everything sounds great. They're also offering more money than I expected, but I keep reading bad things. I have been laid off from a job before and I don't want to get back into the same predicament. What's the deal? Is it really that bad?

 

It is worse than you can imagine. It will devastate your reputation in the health care industry.

Got hired and accepted employment at Corp. Office. This company and it's employees have questioned my integrity by taking an employees word over mine. I was told I could come clean which implies I was dirty. I have never been such a hornets nest in my career. The employee that complained put on a show that was Oscar worthy. It was much easier to terminate me than to deal with the employee. They know what they have, must be nice for employees to dictate to Mgmt. and HR what to do. They should all be ashamed of themselves for what they did. If this company has any aspirations of being successful, they will need a management structure that has thick skin and can call people out. Oh, by the way, did you know that you drink on the job and get paid for it once a month. What a liability for employees and the Leasing company they lease space from. I was even told by a longtime employee that CEO likes his beer and was sure obvious. Good luck UAS, you are going to need it.

 

As more and more physicians get caught up in this scam the entire house of cards will come crashing down.

The business model was only made for 2 years of extreme growth then sale the company. That was the entire intention. When nobody would by the company, upper management was not smart enough to adapt by expanding business by offering new services. You already have a patient room in a physician office, offer something other than allergies or different variations of immunotherapy for private pay parties. It was fun to work at for a few months, but I honestly got super bored and got tired of hearing, "let me speak to you on a high level". Regional managers are overrated, what do they do? I brought my RM to a clinic because I used every tactic to get them to pay besides ruin my relationship, and when he flew down, he stood in the office managers office with his arms folded and had a little grin and nodded his head a few times, PATHETIC excuse for a "manager" or leader. Overall, had a fun experience with others I worked with in the field.

 

I was approached via email by this company and offered a job as an inde. I said I'd be interested in talking about it. The next email said I'd be contacted. Then, nothing. I emailed them and no reply. What exactly happened?

 

Do you know if any of the labs offer the in-vitro ImmunoCap test for Spanish Fly? Have had this ongoing nympho urge since last year that just won't leave. Horny, horny, horny! That says it all. Would like to be tested for elevated IgE levels to the Spanish Fly antigen which may be causing my symptoms. Please, any help and asistance would be appreciated.
