Aquisition?

The only reason I looked on here is because other reps are telling me what is being said. TEI may have problems like any other company, but I am really happy here. I don't know of anybody that has left on their own. I have only heard of people being let go because of performance or attitude, just like any other company. If you can name someone who quit, I can name 75 other people who haven't. To those people on here that are speaking from presently being employed with TEI and are saying negative comments about the CEO and the company, how sad for you that you are so worthless you stay in such a horrible job based on your opinion. Even worse is the people that say they are taking advantage of a company by doing nothing and just collecting a paycheck. How sad for you. I would think it would be hard to sleep at night, but obviously for you it isn't. Leave us alone at TEI. Most of us are happy or we would not be here. And no I am not being paid for my post. I do not work in the home office. I am not in management. I am a successful rep like many others. Happy. I have pity for the negative posts on here.

It is a stressful time and we are probably looking at some layoffs. I am very stressed by the uncertainty. I have enjoyed TEI and have been very successful as a rep. I like my manager and he keeps me out of the line of fire with the CEO. I don't know that I would want to report to the CEO due to his management style. I am just trying to be honest here. I have found the CEO to be very intelligent, he has an excellent education but he is difficult to work with because he is moody, and in my opinion does not have a nice disposition. But I was not hired to be his friend, I am here to earn a living and I have been able to this without a lot of aggravation. I think you can be disenchanted with upper management and happy with your position, I pick my battles. Suggesting that people leave or are poor reps because of a negative opinion of the CEO is foolish. The bigger issue is what's next, will we have opportunities and will it be a fair process? I have to believe that there are a number of good opportunities available at Novadaq or elsewhere for top performing reps. I am not going to pass up on a chance to look because TT doesn't appear to be a potential BFF for me. The reality is that it is a balance here or anywhere else let's keep an open mind......

This whole announcement/talk with our managers last week that consisted of nothing more than a directive to stand by to stand by is just silly (nicest word I could use). Why even tell us an acquisition is taking place and give us an expected date (which has now come and gone), but then crickets chirp when we think we will know more information. Oh- just get out there and keep on keeping on. Sure, ok. It's not an effective way to handle a sales force if you are wanting productivity. It's hard to focus on sales when we don't know our fate. This message is not intended to be a negative one bc I love my job, I just would like to know if I get to keep on loving it.

I was told today about this thread. I currently work at Novadaq and am doing well. I have only known TT for about 8 months, but I can tell you that he is a great guy. I am sure their are reps that think every decision is his and that he is not fair, but for the most part he is. Has he had to make some tough decisions like breaking up territories and making other changes, absolutely, but he has always been fair. (and yes i was one of the many territories that got split up). As far as the fight, I was not out that night, but from what I have heard, it wasn't even a fight (no punches were thrown). Just a couple of guys having fun and messing with each other. To say that TT is not professional is just not correct, and if any of you guys get to work with him, you will see that he is a great person to work for. So don't go into working for Novadaq with presumptions that their is bad management.

Furthermore, sales are going well under TT as we just had a number of Pinpoint and Luna's close in Dec. I hope for your sake their will be opportunities, as I find the technology and leadership to be top notch. This technology is the future of surgery (mine and many of my surgeons opinion).

So would you have rather our manager say absolutely nothing about the acquisition and you get caught by surprise? And I am keeping on keeping on because I am still being paid to do my job and I want my commission. How would you seriously feel if nobody said anything to you and one day you wake up to find we were sold. I am sure you would be shocked you were not told something by your manager. If you are being paid to sell, then sell no matter what. Tell us your idea of a more effective way to handle this. I wake up every day and sell in my territory bc that's what I am paid to do.

I think what we are suggesting is the foolishness of going on a public board like this site ad talking bad about your CEO or HR at any company. Common sense 101. Plus there are truths on Cafephatma but if you believe most of the stories on here; it's like believing in Santa Claus or reading a gossip column.
As a good rep stay postive, keep off these silly boards, trust your gut and do not bury your head in the sand, yet prepare for any situation.

LONDON, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Pharmaceuticals company Shire has agreed to sell its Dermagraft treatment to U.S. group Organogenesis, taking a $650 million hit on the loss-making bio-engineered skin substitute it bought less than three years ago.

You are absolutely right about not wanting to be caught by surprise. I also agree that we are being paid to sell, which is what I have been doing and will continue to do because I want my commission. What I should have said was that things could have been communicated better/clearer in a more uniform manner. I'm not a basher on here. I'm a happy person who enjoys my job.

I like that you are trying to be positive but I disagree with some of this post. Common sense 101 would be to recognize that it is a social media world today and a CEO or ANY employee must be professional or risk social media catching up with repeated unprofessional behavior. It is more akin to where there is smoke there is fire than believing in Santa. Maybe said individuals can learn from this and stop behaving in an inexcusably unprofessional manner. And why would advise that a good rep "keep off of these silly boards", yet here you are, policing it? You contradict yourself and weaken your message.

BRAVO, you are exactly right! There is no excuse for accepting unprofessional behavior and why would anyone make excuses for it and tell others what they should do? It is very condescending to suggest people stay off the boards, we are all adults.

Why can't you just keep your head in the sand and do what we tell you!!

We know better than you, and we have been at it a long time.

Our tissue is very "special" because we told you so

Now go out and sell it or we will find someone who will.

No haven't heard that. Where did you hear that it's off.

Wow if it's off that's crazy that we were ever told about it. Would have thought they'd be more buttoned up than to tell us about it, if the deal could fall through.
