Is that why a L'oreal big wig just recently came over to skinmedica? Because the prospect of skinceuticals was so enticing? Get real, skinceuticals has tier two level cosmeceuticals, might as well be sold in Macys.

Please your company sucks and you suck, no one in pharma would touch you so you are now a Avon rep. Face it you stink and so does your company.

Ignorant wretch, 2 derm products and a rich pipeline sounds just like avon. Go back to your primary care message board.

i get the feeling we are again talking about skinmedica...not skinceuticals. why the bitter attitude. neither company sucks. skinceuticals has a better reputation for skinhealth and skinmedica is more pharm based. so what. who cares...

Yea, Derm products like I said sounds like Avon, Derm is a joke they were the last ranked students in their medical school class, derms are not even considered doctors by other fields. Try taliking to a recruiter and tell them you are in derm and they will laugh. You are not even in derm you work for a shitty little crappy company. Face it your company sucks and is a joke, Skinmedica/Skinceuticals whatever both just a waiste of time. They both suck. Go ahead and sell Avon!! HA HA HA nice career.

"waiste" of time? Ignorant wretch strikes again. Derm is definitely the place to be right now, especially on the aesthetic end. Baby boomers do not wish to age gracefully and are the fastest growing segment of the population. Have fun with your managed care worries, I'll keep enjoying my bonuses from patients that willingly pay cash for Rx products. Nice career? Thank you, I'll say it is.

By the way, derms are the ones who graduated in the TOP of their class...it is one of the most competitive residency programs. And they are generally fun people to call on. At least I don't trip over other reps all day long like the PCP reps!

Your jealousy of being stuck in your fucking POD shines right through in your hillbilly ass response! As usual, another pcp rep just throwing off some bullshit, unproven data. You are pathetic you stupid asshole prick!!! Go brush your tooth!!!

This statement just shows that you have never called on any other specialty if you even want to call derm a specialty. I guess derm residency is harder to get into then a neuro or cardio spec, because after all popping zits is so hard and very life saving. Just keep drinking the punch that your lame company is giving you. Dummy.

You're an idiot. Keep posting here because I am literally laughing out loud at your stupid posts. What the poster before you said is true...actually do some research before we have to listen to your diarrhea of the mouth anymore. Derm residency is one of the hardest to get into....and I dare you to prove me otherwise.

You're making an ass of yourself. FYI.

So what do you guys think about calling on OB/Gyn only for a derm product that is cosm. based? Could be fun? Go from Big Pharma rat race to this or stay safe? Thanks for advice/opinions...

OB/GYNs are slowly starting to catch the aesthetics wave due in no small part to the success of the Plastics and Derms, although to a much lesser degree. If you want to get in there and really want the opportunity to pioneer a field before it explodes go for it, because it is still in its infancy in the OB/GYN office. The drawback is that most of these guys are not very business saavy and reluctant to dispense product from their office, and if they do... you will have to hold their and their staff's hands plenty... and coach them on selling because they have not done any before.

I think if you are up to the challenge of real selling, no pods, just opening dispensing accounts, taking orders, a.k.a. real accountability, go for it. Let it explode in your territory... that is really where it matters anyway. Even if you aren't on the coast, there are TVs in every living room with "extreme makeover", doctor 90210, the swan, etc. that plenty of women are watching. They read articles in all of the women's magazines right in the waiting room before their appointment. The Docs should capitalize on that.

    thanks for the feedback....

yes, the possibilty of accountability after many many years of mind numbing pharma peddling is scary. but, on the other hand....NO COMPUTERS TRACKING ME, NO PODS, NO SUCCESS STORIES!!!! Maybe would be worth it, even with the pay cut. Base is same-50's, without car etc, but the potential for commison might be worth it. Opinions? Thanks!!

"Two roads diverged in a wood... I took the one less traveled, and it has made all the difference" Robert Frost

Drop the Pod, see what you are made of, if it doesn't work out get a women's health care specialty pharma job because you will already have the OB/GYN contacts. Live a little.
