As rumors persist as to additional restructuring coming at Hill-Rom, what do you think the company should do?
...hope to be purchased by a much larger company, focus on leasing/rentals, refurbished equipment, close and sell the farm, move all manufacturing to Canada or China, move customer experience center to Chicago near HQ....better for bringing in new talent. create new cost effective CC beds with newer technology, get rid of furniture unit, Buy Steris or Nemshoff or KCI........Service the hell out of customers. make stretchers more lean and mean...dump more money into R&D, hire better and more competent marketing staff, better commissions to salespeople (.75% on every total care bed sold is utterly pathetic) - compensation sucks. Thats it for now...
Stretchers lean and mean? That has worked out for you guys so far. I think a good start would be for you guys to design a stretcher that actually works after 3 months.
Buy Steris? Thats a joke. Steris is run by professionals, What possibly could you sell in the Steris line? How about move manufacturing to the USA?
Last time I checked, batesville is still head quarters and there are plenty of people that support those of you in the field..100 percent. Don't forget the roots and mission of this company.
How about trying to bring back some of the great leaders who have left. Get Errington and Shirley to fix the sales force. Hell Errington is doing just that now with Linet. How about get Brad L back to rework the service org? We have let too many good ones go.
What would you really know about the field?? You probably sit behind a desk making decisions and you don't have a clue about field work. Much like learning French out of a dictionary but then when you go to France then you realize how ignorant you are. I have worked with know it all pencil pushers like you for over 20 years and it is the same old same old --- you think you know but you don't. Do you want to put some real effort into it and spend some time in the field so you can learn how it really is???? That would be the day...ba ha ha ha!!!!
LOL... Wikipedia's definition of Headquarters: Headquarters (HQ) denotes the location where most, if not all, of the important functions of an organization are coordinated. In the United States, the corporate headquarters represents the entity at the center or the top of a corporation taking full responsibility managing all business activities. Batesville can keep the "HQ signs". JG doesn't care about offices... didn't he say that in a Town Hall Meeting? What you meant to say was "Last I checked, it's pretty clear where the decisions are being made... not to mention where the ELT is primarily located!" The Chicago Office was opened for one reason... is it making sense now?
Stop following the rumor mill and be more concerned about how you can keep your name off the list. Focus on your job and what you can control! Do have a back up plan though just in case you get lucky and become yet another casualty...
George is in a better place now, may he rest in peace. Step into 2014 please. All past "leaders" are waaay over HR. Your marketing leader has always sucked. HR can not buy Steris. Out of its league.
Looking for info on hill rom mattress sensors for pressure ulcers. Which division sells these and does anyone know anything about the MAPS system (competitor)
We do not sell a pressure mapping sensor. What we use to test our manufactured products is proprietary information.
