Why don't Job Shares get respect?

    Ample chatter about this topic. Did or will shares make it through the pc downsize? Surely the bean counters won't keep two reps (overpaid) for one job. The cut folk should have a chance at posting for these spots. I would rather work a job share for 50k than full time contract for the same. What's going on? Every woman for herself. Sorry men, I guess some might find this job attractive also.

    Tks for posting job share. Glad you had time to chime in between picking up the kids from school. Don't forget your big day manana, working 10-2 whilst shopping 12-1 and cell phone squaking for an hour. And would you please clean up your fleet car for field visits. Ctl's are tired of smelly soccer clothes, snacks and homework being strewn about.

    Can someone explain why job shares are evaluated independently for pdo purposes at year end but when it comes to layoffs they carry the higher reps pdo and evaluated as a team? Another example of job shares being protected so that Merck looks good for "working mothers" ranking.

    Phuck job shares, there will be a lawsuit. This placement deal will lead to many not signing separation papers come late August. Lawyer up Merck.

    What?!?! Why would they be considered team, that is ridiculous. If I had a job share partner and am let go just because one of them was carried.... Time to get legal council

    I'm a full time rep and one who recognizes the real situation as it is.....There may be slacker job shares around, but there are also job shares who actually work.

    Truth is, there ARE full time workers who work LESS than any job share! Now that's the
    biggest farce of all!

    Very true and funny post, nearly pissed my britches. These jobs are the biggest scam @ mother. Sleep-date-marry another Merkie and you can get a job share too. Yippee.

    Why not open all these jobs and post for all before D day in June? Heck, this part time gig pays more than full time contract any day. Not just for mams, plenty of dudes would happily take these gigs and actually work. They would do the job and not use it as a shuttle service for the children. Long live the beast in the Northeast!

    At least the post office delivers. Job shares skip many accounts only to call on the same offices sharing kiddie pixs and starbucks. One gal still cannot figure out the Ipad.

    Full time rep here who know there are some big BS'ers in the ranks. All types but the worse are ones who are paid for full time but work less than even a job share! These weasels cut out, don't show, play make up call after call and let coworkers pull the weight! Then you have their entitlement BS ...hey they should keep their slacker gig and keep milking the cow forever!

    Our job share is dating a manager so I doubt these spots will ever open. Ever notice the amount of shares bedding ctl's? No wonder these jobs are created specially for the naughty.
