Have heard that the comp structure is going to change as they have brought in some high priced consultants to tell them that the current structure is a joke. They will inevitably find a way to pay the reps less while those in "leadership" positions reap the benefits.

Please enlighten us with the rumors you are hearing about SP.

I also heard the comp plan is changing, however, I don't know if it's for the better or worse. I think there is a big problem when less than 10% of the sales force isn't hitting their number.

    C'mon, guys!

Why are we all so doom and gloom?! We have plenty of bright things to look forward to! Go out and sell some Bathing Wipes! It's been working for me!

The bath wipes suck. There are much better washcloths on the market

Then try selling batteries or OR towels for that matter...jeez don't give up...the bag is full of unique cost effective products...just ask DC, MD, LA and MK.

Oh yeah? Boy you seem s0o0o0o0o smart. Tell me then, what differentiates our bath wipes from Medline or Medichoice or Sage or whoever? It's a commodity. Cost always wins with commodities

I heard we are going to start selling 2-ply toilet paper in FY 15. Get excited people!

I heard SP division may have a few more saw blades added that would bring the grand total of our offering to around 1/3 of what our competitors have.

Oh and let's not forget that Medline has already beaten us to market with complete cannulated screw sets. CAH won't even invest enough to ramp up inventory on "generic" drill bits wires and cannulated screws to allow us to go out and sell with out completing a bunch of bs for those sitting I'm their cubicles.

Say it ain't so...CAH spends years developing/implementing an ortho strategy, only to have Medline do it better and faster...how shocking. I bet J&J/Stryker/et.al. are shaking in their boots.

Do you think George will "give" us 1 or 1.5% for CAH performance? That's a joke.

Why quit? I know sales people here who can juggle working at Cardinal AND another full time sales gig...it is not hard to do if you are creative, cunning, deceptive, selfish, and daring. If you feel exploited, exploit your masters in kind. Since I am giving notice in real early FY15 (like two weeks from now), I'm outta here and looking forward to regained health and sanity. Ciao

One of the problems at Cardinal is that the Leadership is not visionary. They are out of touch with the customer. As a result, they are slow to respond to new ideas, products and solutions. Having known many of the Senior Leadership and comparing them with their group of former colleagues, I would have to say that they are not risk takers, middle of the road, don't make any waves. The culture at Cardinal is to try to achieve plan by eliminating costs, not by growing top line revenue. You grow top line revenue by having something to sell ie: new products, new ideas, etc. MBA's are great but many of the past top leaders, who now lead companies were not MBAs but listened to the customer and the field folks that are closest to the customer. Sorry, Cardinal but Medline is the new American Hospital Supply in the marketplace.

Medline is nothing more than a Walmart of hospital supply. A lot of Chinese crap at low prices with low quality.

Couldn't agree more, but that's what the customer's want right now. Lowest price wins.

Like our shit isn't? Obviously you don't sell much or you would be very familiar with filling out PQR's

Sure, our shit smells too. There are tons of problems with what we have to sell, from bad incomplete product portfolios to the dufus a-holes like you who do nothing but complain and look bad in front of our customers.

Sounds like you are looking in the mirror Matt, my customers love me and that I fix the problems that you and others create! Thanks for admitting our shit stinks too- shame you only create more rather than fix it!
