Talked to this recruiter recently about a job with EndoChoice. The posting is on medreps.com as well and is listed below. Can someone please verify is these income figures are realistic? Is this what EndoChoice reps are really earning? How is the technology selling? I'm reading some things on this board that suggest things aren't going very well, but this earnings potential looks incredible. Average reps at $200k plus? Top 10% earners making $350k? Can I please get some honest responses without the typical CF bullshit retorts? Thanks for the help!

Wow. Just wow. Un-f***ing-believable. Ladies and gentlemen, this posting by the company sums up all you need to know about this company, its management, and its ethics. And everybody wonders why there is so much bitterness here. For reals? This sales leadership team is completely irresponsible. Just look at who they are. I guess it's no surprise, really.

Average reps making $200,000? Really? Are you serious? That's interesting. And a complete fabrication. The average rep isn't even cracking $150,000. In fact, I would bet you $1,000 that there aren't even 10% of our reps (or managers for that matter) that have earned $75,000 to date this year on their pay stub. I'll take all bets on that.

Top 10% of reps earning $350,000!!?? Hahahahahahahaha!!! Holy shit!!! That's actually hilarious!! Just a tad bid aggressive, don't you think? Again, our top 10% reps aren't even on pace for $150,000 right now!

Bitter? Yes. Yes I am. Guilty. I'm bitter at what this once "decent" company used to be. And it's an understatement to say it's lost its way. It's a shit show. I'm bitter that my friends and I have to look for another job. I'm embarrassed that I actually recommended this job to a few people. The above posting of the job description to lure new sales reps here is all you need to f***ing know.

Well said. While it's understandable that recruiters tend to exaggerate an opportunity, they get their information on the job posting from the management at HR folks that hire them for the assignment. Somebody needs to pump the brakes on these figures. They're a figment of someone's pipe dream imagination of what this job could be in their own little dream world where horses fly and hookers bring carryout from The Capital Grill on outcalls. Yes, you're right---I'm firmly in the top third of the salesforce and haven't hit $75,000 on my stub. No, I haven't sold a Fuse unit, but neither has approximately 38 of 45 reps either-- and over half of the ones that HAVE sold it are the ones who have sold to docs on our payroll---and it's taken most over 9 months to even accomplish that. You're going to find that middle America won't buy this. We've seen these results in 100s of demos. Another problem stated before is that most all of us used to care but now we don't. When you're lied to and toxic shit goes on, what do you expect?

Thru last week I'm at (approximately) $44k year to date. This is trending as the least I've made in the last 6 years. Awesome.

The only people making 200k are the shady reps who give away capital equipment for free in exchange for Pathology specimen!!!

There's nobody on pace for $200k and it's not even close. I disagree with the other part of your statement. Which reps or accounts?

The CS position is where it's at kids. $100k in guaranteed cash, big car allowance, gas, etc......all to work an average of 10 days a month. They really fucked up when creating that job. They don't do shit and are making more than everyone LOL!!!!

No doubt on the CS post. I know a CS that literally goes out 20 nights a month, in his 20s, makes $100k, and has more days off than he works.

Damn, you know things are bad when people talk shit on the recruiter hunting heads for this opening. Sounds like turning and running away from any contact with this company (and recruiter) is the best plan.

Well, good luck in trying to leave. Not one single recruiter or company I've talked to knows who EndoChoice is. And when you go into the story about Fuse and have to say you haven't sold any (the overwhelming majority of us) because the product quality TOTALLY SUCKS--it doesn't go over favorably in an interview.

I get it if you are looking to leave but your post sums it up perfectly. If you aren't attempting or even trying to sell Fuse, regardless of performance, it isn't going to go over well in an interview. If you aren't selling Fuse, you don't have a lot of other products that are going to impress anyone. JNJ, Covidien, Medtronic, etc are all having layoffs and the competition is getting tougher for prospective jobs because of these layoffs. If you want to go to another device company and you're up against a rep with actual OR device experience, you think that the interviewer is going to be impressed that you sell bite blocks? Get a Fuse sale under your belt and you at least have a story to tell.

Is the CS role a good stepping stone job in med device? Having no medical experience and starting as a CS- is it a good way to break into med device? Or it is a waste of time?

Haha, I appreciate the honesty. What are your thoughts on whether or not it is a legit stepping stone job into med device?

Poster, CS stands for Capital Specialist. This role has NOTHING to do with devices and this company is not a device company!! It really never was and NOW WE don't get paid to sell devices anymore so NO this job or CS role is not a stepping stone into device sales. Deliver pizzas or serve tables before accepting job here!
