I happened to see those posts. The bre ast post seemed to be here for weeks but once someone added a comment about not even noticing the bre ast because something about not being able to look at her face and something about not being able to ever tell where she was looking. Strange post but means something to someone or it would not have been yanked off. Nothing should surprise anyone when it comes to Convatec. Probably some cover up or code for something. There are so many things going on here that are so crazy, no one would believe them to be true. Great Case Study project for Grad Students!

    Ouch.
I am unclear why anyone notices, cares or wastes time posting about Lauren as she is a nonentity. I believe that most people that know of her are of the "Yawn" opinion of her. There is nothing there. Everyone knows she will say whatever KB, MV or CY want to hear and is their perfect puppet. She has no business experience or background and it is obvious in how she handles challenges. All she knows is ConvaTec and she is so excited about herself. As someone previously pointed out, she is there to process weekly reports and be on conference calls to hear her own name, move stuff up the funnel. She is nothing more than an Administrative Asst. She is good at that.

She was selected to fill a void in part, because the organization needed to show that they had more females in "management" as it had been heavily populated by male RSMs. Have you noticed the recent promotions. This shift may make Convatec more attractive to large, reponsible companies more interested to show a diversified organization. There were definately more qualified people, some being male, that should have been considered.

The other reason is because as stated above, she will do whatever is asked of her and will never question why. She knows nothing else, at all. Convatec is her world. Hope we can put this to rest, she is last year's news and just really sick of her name on this board. She deserves to be forgotten. Maybe when we are bought.

So what's any RSM do? They are all like Lauren, even the very very tenured ones. They have all given up and will just repeat what they are told. Why even have RSM's?

Oh come on?! L.M.?! That's their pick? She's a dimwit. Have you ever tried to have a conversation with her? Seriously, what value can she add other than doing exactly as her boss tells her? She's not creative, she has no history of true success or really being infront of customers. Why don't we just advertise all the jobs as being in pharmaceuticals? That's where all this is headed anyways. Running around trying to capture names and scripts. What was her interview like? Run down the hallways in a bikini so we can watch it back in slow motion. I hate this place.

Oh my goodness. Can somebody tell LM to shut up already with her cheerleader baloney. Nice pump up speech Braveheart. I know things are really bad for us right now a lot of customers hate us, and our leaders don't seem to know what they are doing, but we can turn this ship around to be number one (Yayyyyy -- hand clap x 2). Your silly speeches don't help me sell more. Why couldn't we have picked someone that understands the sales process? I mean you've never done a cold call before. Wow.

Things are bad for us which is why the company will be broke up and sold within two years. Customers hate us because we don't have tools or resources, the products are not original, and everyone is at home looking for jobs. Lastly, we all understand the execs know what they're doing, they are driving down commissions to reps, keeping us from resources that need money, and getting creative to show growth so they can hurry up and sell the company before we get kicked off any GPOs before the next bids are due. Thus, lining their pockets and moving forward to their next VC.

Honestly, you are right and the company should really consider eliminating the RSM layer all together. We have VPs, so just have 3-4 VPs for the entire US and save a ton of money. Payoff the RSMs and say good-bye. It will all end soon for them anyway, so this way they can get a jump start on their next gig. Most organizations in this end stage, eliminate the layers, so lets start peeling them back. RSMs in this company add little value, and especially now when they are all just in fear and just a bunch of "me too" "love your idea MV..." on and on.

please de-code. East Coast Ostomy RSM - old timer? If so, he is probably retirement age anyway.

We could very easily dump all the Ostomy RSMs. Only a few know anything other than the ostomy business, so if we need to consolidate again, get rid of the entire group of ostomy regional managers, and realign the ostomy territory managers to the closest wound/ccc rm. Get rid of them all. Perhaps those that have been around long enough to know the full product line, they might be valuable but most of the Ostomy RSMs I know, are disposable, just like an ostomy pouch, and pretty much full of the same thing.

Is this the Valentard? Only a complete mental midget could make a statement like "...Only a few know anything other than the ostomy business... get rid of the entire group...". You have no, repeat NO understanding of the Ostomy business. Which means you are probably MV or KB. Take a test with me, will you? Open your wallet. See that stuff in there? Yes, the green stuff. That's the Ostomy business. Know why you have so much green? Because not so many people know about the Ostomy business. See, that's how businesses make money, by doing things that others don't know how to do. That was worth over a half billion dollars before you screwed it up, Mark. And Ken, had you known anything about business, ostomy, marketing, leadership, sales, healthcare, people, management, or how to discriminate your A$$ from a hole in the ground, you could have avoided ruining a $650MM business. Oh well, too late. BTW your hair looks like a dead muskrat convulsed.

Here's an idea for you brilliant folks. Why not start a billion dollar business? Yes, you are so smart, just start one. Oh, you can't do it? Then you might think twice about completely screwing one up. You might be over your heads. What? You don't care? Then go away. Leave us alone. Stop screwing us. Leave alone the people that built this company and who know the Ostomy business. The people that know MORE THAN YOU. The people more invested in the business than you. The people that CARE MORE THAN YOU. These are your coworkers. And we despise you. TO THE CORE, we despise you.

I mostly agree with the "we despise you part" and the "we care more than you" part. However, we do part ways a bit. I am of the opinion that some of the RSMs, not to mention the SAMs are kinda self-serving useless slim balls----you've got to admit.

Grrrrr. Someone seems to be threatened. (Ostomy RSM??)
I wrote this post and no, I am not MV, or KB. I am actually an Ostomy TM with many, many successful, award winning years in that business unit. So yes I can appreciate your passion, I too am passionate about the Ostomy business and understand the need for having qualified ostomy people in front of our clinicians.

The Ostomy RSM is not the one in front of our customers in a way that will make or break the business. We could use the Ostomy VP to get in front of the large IDNs etc. As a matter of fact, many of our accounts do not want to see reps AND managers from more than 1 business unit. Their time is valuable, and they do not appreciate us wasting their time with manager visits. Thus, part of the suggestion. Get rid of ALL of the Ostomy RSM, sorry if that is you, but keep all the Ostomy TMs, God knows we lost too many top ones already this year. The reps are the ones making the needle move, not the RSMs and if CVT wants or needs to make more cuts, Ostomy RSMs is a great place to go.

Just get out of the way, and let us do our jobs. We know how to do it and do not need a baby sitter trying to look like they are guiding us, trying to look like they bring value. Although I can think of maybe 1 or possible 2 Ostomy RSMs that are valuable, and that know all product lines so could transition to a full line RSM (but that would not include the one in this message thread title).

If CVT really wants to trim the fat some more.... Ostomy RSMs....Good Bye.

Eliminating a few more RSMs (Ostomy) would go a long way to save on all those travel expenses as well. Not a bad call.

Um, read the string. I am not even in Ostomy and I know why based on what the post states. Unless it is L. M. asking then you just answered your own question.

This response does appear to me from the Lauren level doesn't it? If not, maybe her cousin. Either way clueless. How could anyone, not just love Lauren? A typically funny, I have no clue response. She does think she is God's gift and her team must certainly admire her. I think there might be one person left from the original team.

So are you suggesting it is the blind leading the blind. All newbies?
