Why two days to announce? This seems like a big deal to delay such an announcement. Perhaps they wanted to have a successor announced before they did but out of respect, shouldn't they announce the passing of the highest leader? Make it more about his accomplishments, etc. and how he will be leaving a great legacy.

There is a report in Tokyo that Iwamoto-san was found at his house after not replying to calls/the door..apparently suspicious circumstances.

OMG?!!! Is this real? I just googled and there is nothing online.
There have been rumors circulating in HO that he would soon be replaced!

I hope this is somehow a mistake.

It's inappropriate and disrespectful for anyone to post rumors about the passing of Taro.

Japan news reports he passed away of heart failure at the age of 54. Too young. Very sudden.

And does he get any credit for catapulting this company into a multibillion dollar organization? Shame on you hater!

He was a visionary leader who built this organization from the ground up. Without him, none of us would be here.

All visionary leaders have intense talents and weaknesses.

People should respect and honor all that he did for the company, your lives, and patient lives.

Pease do not shame the US country , or employees with disrespectful behaviour.

It is very tragic that Taro has passed away reportedly from heart failure. The Japanese concept of Karoshi seems apt here; working oneself to the death. This should remind everyone here and over in Japan, of the importance of work-life balance.

At least he wasn't traveling when he died. If he were traveling internationally that could have added an additional level of stress to his already grieving family. Since this was unexpected, they surely must be completely devastated. We should all keep his family in our thoughts during this time.

Cold. Just a cold organization. Key member dies and business as usual.

Publicly traded companies are required to have a succession plan. They also are required to report quarterly (every 3/6/9/12 months). Nothing suspicious about that.
