Is there a owner of the site we can talk too. Or are we at the will of censors here?

You can always contact us via the contact us form. We are aware of the issue and we have created this forum to accommodate patient discussions.

We decided to create this temporary forum for several reasons. Cafepharma's primary purpose is to provide employees of medical sales and related industries with a safe place to discuss relevant issues. We consider it to be an online home and refuge for such employees.

We also realize that patients need a place to voice their concerns and discuss issues associated with their healthcare. While there are a number of active forums for patients to discuss health related topics, we can see the value of a place to anonymously discuss these issues - particularly when that place is provided by a source that has a public track record of protecting user anonymity.

So ultimately, we are working out the best way to accommodate patients while remaining focused on our primary purpose of providing the best possible site for medical industry employees.

Thank you for providing a site for the patients. Please bare in mind we are not just patients that post on the "davince-what a scam" thread. We are the news media (Like myself) APwire NEWS, Intuitive Surgical sales reps, lawyers, patients, victims, ex-employees etc.

I believe that threat has been archived and the conversions on it have been revolutionary in many area's. Your change seems to be leaning in the area of censorship. Will the link to the new board be available to new viewers? Will it stay at the top in the Intuitive Surgical board?

It has not gone unnoticed that the thread "davince-what a scam" has gained a lot of popularity on the Internet. Has Cafepharma been asked to do this move?

You're welcome. We are glad to be of service.

We understand your concerns about censorship. However, I assure we have no desire to censor the conversation. I hope that a quick review of the posts on cafepharma's forums will confirm our strong belief in the value of anonymous free speech.

The link to the new board will be available to new viewers. Also the link the location of the "Davinci - what a scam" thread will be available as well.

We were not asked to move the thread or create the new forum. We did this to best serve the two communities of users. We have considered creating a separate site for patient discussions in the past. Since there are a number of active patient forums available, we have previously decided against doing so.

However, since patients do appear to have significant interest in discussing their issues and treatments anonymously, we are considering creating a site just for patient discussions. We will keep users updated on these plans and we welcome suggestions.

    Dear cafepharma,

if the patient thread is truly for patients it should absolutely have a different title required as this is leading to a very negative thread vs overall patient experiences. there are the vast majority of us out here that have been saved by this technology. I'm sorry to hear thats not the case for all but definitely not the fault of the robot. please consider changing this title. thank you!

The title of the board is "Intuitive Surgical Patient Discussions," which is pretty neutral. If you wish to start a new thread under the board with a title that reflects your experience, please do so. Any one can start a new discussion thread under this board. Simply go to the main board page (http://www.cafepharma.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=996), and click the blue "new thread" button near the top left.

    Dear technology lover,
Have you truly been "saved" by your ELECTIVE SURGERY by the DaVinci surgical robot (its not used in emergency rooms) ? Or were you told like us that it was the ONLY option by your robotic surgeon?
Our injuries were 100% the fault of the robot soon to be proven in a court of law.

The DaVinci What A Scam is the perfect name that reflects what it is. I know it's hard to accept and it keeps popping up on googles search and you and others don't want the TRUTH to be seen.

If you send us your address we will mail you a tissue for your tears. The name stays. Please consider replying to the post you don't agree with and state why with your supporting facts otherwise slap yourself your being a cry baby. If free speech offends you here, go watch cable news and get off the interwebs?

That post had to be from an executive of intuitive. Who gets a good surgery then gets on the web to defend the device the surgeon used? NOBODY.

See you in court cry baby!
