Attractive people getting jobs with few accomplishments.

In the past, despite more accomplishments from the average looking person, I noticed that companies would always go with the more attractive person to hire, regardless of their achievements/education.

I think this trend will stop, as companies downsize more. I also think that companies lost a lot of business because they choose style over substance.

 

Too late. See who is currently employed in pharma / device on Linked In. The majority look like "fashion" photos.

Today, I am fifty and cannot buy a job. At 35.......not so much.

See all the old guys that still look great with accomplishments. They have been sitting home for a long time. This will not change. Youth and minority rules the new world.

Finally, I gave up and went back to school. It beat sitting at home.

 

Its so true...and 95% of them can't sell.

They just make sure the manager is happy with them, and they get their signatures during the day without selling a dam thing.

I wish I became a PA or NP or teacher/principal. Sales jobs don't pay anymore, and the only good sales jobs outside of pharmaceuticals are medical device manager positions. The sales rep role in these organizations involve a lot of grunt work vs. little pay. In pharmaceuticals, if you are good, you an sell effectively within a 40 hour week.

 

The time for old conservative males are over. Thank God

The reason this country is falling apart is because of the lack of strong male figures in the house. And skin color doesn't matter. Any family without a strong male figure is going to have children that are not well adjusted.

Do your research, you racist, you.

 

What's race got to do with it? The old, antiquated way of thinking is over.

 

And what has the new way of thinking accomplished? Nothing but more broken homes and broken people.

Women is business is the funniest thing I have observed. They are so lacking in basic work ethic, interpersonal skills, and business acumen. We also have the rise of the metrosexual male, with little integrity and work ethic.

The "old" way, as you put it, was the correct way, because people actually worked hard and promotions were based on achievement. Today, we have people with 1-2 year in the field getting promoted because the manager likes them and they dress good.

You have a lot to learn about life.

It’s obvious skin color doesn’t matter. Look around a National Sales Meeting. And you are pissed at the few that happened to be hired. Who’s doing the hiring 99% of the time?

The best reps today are doing real estate.
