You have a very bad attitude. Who do you think you are?

Guess the new people that just got hired did not read cafepharma. They will be sorry unless they were desperate. I am certain the hiring managers will not be truthful about why the territories had been open. Poor suckers!

I know you have to take what is on the site with a grain of salt, but so many posts say the same thing. Beware of this company. Why don't people research what they re getting into? There is a lot of training to go through to then realize that this is not the place to be, for most people. More are trying to get out than are trying to get in. I am sure I am not the only one left trying to get out.

Can someone please do a background check on these RM's? Not sure if mine ever finished high school and most likely has a DUI based on his actions. Thank you!

Doubt they ever do background checks on anyone. Take a look at the ones that get promoted…drunks, liars, ones fired from previous jobs etc.

    1. If you're anything other than white, find out the ethnic makeup of your group. Vet divisions are notoriously racist, only hiring/keeping Caucasians in sales.

    2. Find out how often territories are adjusted. You can spend a lot of time and effort building up business just to have an a-hole manager take accounts away and give them to a "valued" associate.

    3. Find out if the mgr is from the vet business. If he used to be in insurance or some other business, accept the fact that they can't write a decent review. If he carried a bag for a short time before he got promoted, accept that he or she will not know how to support you. They can only look good by tearing down good people or pitting them against each other.

    That is the reality.

These are actually great observations not just for vet Rx diets but for the vet industry. On ethnic makeup, I don't see the same diversity as in other industries. Yet go to any national convention and you see vets of all nationalities. I know one group that feels so "excluded" that they've formed their own association.

As for the other items, ask around. Do your research. A person's behavior follows them and reveals much. Sometimes you don't find out until it's too late. All you can do is get out on your terms. Someone who takes pride in canning people won't change. They just don"t know how to build a team. Someone who steps out on their spouse won't change. They cheat in their marriage -- means they've gotten good at lying. Someone who consistently badmouths someone and you know better or differently, means theyve done "something" themselves. Either keep their secret or you're out.

Good managers are truly hard to come by.

Thanks resident Cafepharma genius. That doesn't help this place. I wouldn't even call these people managers. They are absolutely clueless and just collect a paycheck. Probably looking for new jobs like everyone else. So sad that only a few years ago this was actually a successful and reputable company.

I'm thinking of switching to the vet side and appreciate these posts. May not help the situation but helps me decide. Thanx.

While the vet business is the only relevant division it is in a downward spiral. The leadership is awful. CEO is a short timer with zero passion and managers are a disgrace. Make the move, collect the paycheck while you look for a new job like the rest of vet DMs.

Even if the CEO doesn't make the grade, he still has that golden parachute to bail him out.
