Interviewing for Sr. rep oncology position. Anyone one know the base salary range and commission structure?

What area are you in and do you have any previous oncology experience?

    NYC with oncology experience

Range depends on most recent salary and years of experience. Expect to get a max 10% bump in salary. Anywhere from 90k to 110k seems to norm.

I disagree. With oncology experience, you will probably be at $110,000 on the low end of the range. Depending on your current salary, a 10% increase is average. But, if your salary is considered low, you could definitely get more than 10%. I would ask the recruiter or DM for the range. If you get a call for an IV, it's probably realistic that your salary expectations are in the Amgen range. But, that is a conversation you need to have in the beginning. Not a good time investment for either side if you already make mid to high 100 base.

Both teams will soon carry kyprolis as onyx reps will be fired shortly for being the losers that they are.

The onyx rep in my territory is a cocky pos. I'm glad he's getting less comp and more information micromanagement. This way he won't brag so much.

180 at plan huge pay cut for senior reps
250k plan in growth but the caveat is it only can be hit with products that have saturated the market and been around for years. The new product launches pay worst case 8percent and best case only 12 percent. My advise keep interviewing at other companies this place is about to see major turnover.

Let me guess, you interviewed for an expansion position and didn't get it. To the OP, $110K is a joke salary with oncology experience. If you have experience surely you are making more that that in base already. People are leaving left and right due to poor leadership, recent changes to territories and the constant revolving door in the home office so every person in the CLP can get their rotation in.

So the OP was in 2015. We are now in 2020. What is the range now for a Sr. Onc. Rep? Salary, Average Bonus and "at-plan" total comp? TIA for anyone who can provide real answers.

Well then maybe some of us Repatha reps can roll over to Oncology when we're let go with in the year or so. I'd love to roll over to Oncology.

I would love insight as well. Recruiter hasn’t discussed salary yet.

My insight would be to wait for something else and not take the job. Recently restructured everything and now you have a large territory with basically one product to sell and a couple of biosimilars. They really screwed the pooch on the reorg and I am sure that a lot of folks are looking for other opportunities. Constant turnover in home office means nobody ever really gets to know the business before they are off on their next rotation. Worst oncology division out there at this point. Nothing new and primarily supportive care.

Roll over is a term used for reps with zero tenure. You must be on the White Team. No one gets rolled over. Its just business.

What term would you use then?
