There is a new comp plan, turns out even if you sell more than last year you will make less. Plus if you are under 80% you get paid nothing. How many reps will leave?
" How many reps will leave?" None. What else could they do ? Make brooms with the mental r*****s at Goodwill ?
You must be a manager. The problem is not that you don't get paid below 80%. The problem is that when companies make unrealistic quotas that make hitting 80% difficult. Too many companies today have mad 100% the exception, not the rule like it was 15-20 years ago. When more people are below 80% than above 100%, that's a company problem, not a rep problem.
I agree with you there! I wrote the above statement that you responded to...i can't argue your point. I work for an implant company where my territory does not carry itself. I need to bring in alot of new business to hit my quota. We used to get paid if we hit our "baseline" but they finally changed it to a quota system and we start getting paid at 80%. It's a little better.
So what is the current situation in regards to sales turnover and quota attainment? Someone forwarded me an opening but no information on comp plan or realistic goals. Thank you
"Someone forwarded me an opening but no information on comp plan or realistic goals. Thank you" Ask 'Someone'. You're Welcome.
Thanks. Funny guy. The "someone" did not know as just saw it posted on a job site and thought it would be a good fit for me, so no actual connection to the company. Have a good week.
