that a general "one time adjustment" to salaries in order to "normalize the paygrade to market values" would happen sometime in the first quarter, maybe the second quarter.
I heard that salesforce would be cut by 40% in the next 1-2 years, since there isn't any effort to consolidate warehouse/distribution. No effort to reduce the redundancy in warehousing... the "quick wins" were in sales force reductions.
Kypho is gone, dead, and not part of the high revenue plans of BD. It may get sold. As for consolidation of distribution; this is happening now. Sales, who knows...
Options for Independent Distributors of Carefusion Vertebral Compression Fracture products. There are some very good opportunities at Osseon, Dfine and Benvenue for you and your physicians. I know the folks at Osseon and Dfine and would recommend both. I dont know anyone or the products at Benvenue so I cannot comment. ( I may have posted this previously in the wrong thread ...)
Bone cement is gone now, word is on the street that V Mueller is still on the block. Management can't make up their minds but will when the right offer comes along. Parts of the IS business will continue to be sold.
Nah. They put out an announcement this week that V.Mueller is here to stay. Regardless of that, it's a complementary line to the lap Snowden-Pencer instruments.
Interviewing for V Mueller - run or go for it? Need brutal honesty - not in a great current situation but can stick it out if VM isn't right...
Just got offered a quality tech position. What is the future looking like for that position? Also what is the pay for this position if you have several years of experience? Just curious.....
So after a few calls to Dfine, Benvenue and Osseon I decided to move my accounts to Osseon. I wish I hand't been put into this position but I think I have made a good decision. For my VCF customers it seemed like a good move, the company was quick to respond.
If you have a principal title, you will be realigned with BD, you will no longer retain that title unless you have 24+ years of experience. Adjustments for bonuses, titles, vacation, and salaries are all in the works. This will be highly unpopular but deemed necessary by BD. They are rolling this out in Q1 & Q2 expecting initial backlash.
Closing of the Tucker VM facility and relocation of processes to St Louis is part of the strategy to find "synergies". Ultimately, the overall strategy is to improve VM on paper in terms of goodwill. BD will work to reduce overhead and improve efficiencies to make the business more attractive with respect to the balance sheets. VM is, unofficially, still for sale. As time goes on, the business will be more attractive to purchasers and will be sold.
