COO (Carlyn Solomon) of Hill Rom was fired. I have hard time understanding how you bring a person on board pay him $6.3M a year and then fire him 18 months later.

And we are paying him 12 months salary and he gets all his stock! We are paying him for nearly as long as he was actually at HR.

He was not fired, he is leaving to pursue another opportunity. Good lord, the drama on this board is epic.

Drama? how do you explain below statement? it is from SEC filing of 8-K...never seen a person leave a company and get severence pay.

".....In connection with his departure, the Corporation and Mr. Solomon entered into a Separation and Release Agreement dated August 3, 2016, pursuant to which Mr. Solomon agreed to a customary release of claims and restrictive covenants. Mr. Solomon will continue to be subject to the non-compete, trade secret and confidentiality provisions of his employment agreement with the Corporation . The Separation and Release Agreement entitles Mr. Solomon to: (1) continued payment of Mr. Solomon’s base salary at the effective time of termination for a period of 12 months; (2) full vesting of certain restricted stock units granted to Mr. Solomon at the time of his employment with the Company; (3) immediate vesting in the Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan; and (4) continued participation in the Corporation’s health and other welfare benefits for a period of 12 months...."

What is going to happen to the Metaneb team?

Between that team missing their numbers and people leaving (and not back filling positions) it will join the titanic at the bottom of the ocean

Carlyn was not fired. Too anxious to make an impact. When he realized it would take too long, he decided to leave. The reality is that he is not even half good as he thinks he is .... leadership is stable now, the team at the top is the right one

This might be off topic, but the difference between the Metaneb 3 and the Metaneb 4 is epic. The new Metaneb 4 is straight garbage! I have personally seen dozens break right out of the box. Idk how that line is staying above water. Is anyone else having these issues?
    Btw, customer not previous employee

Are you talking about the circuits or the device itself? I've had multiple circuits that are broken (in package) and one new machine with a faulty manometer. - I am a customer and not a former or current employee.

Is this message board alive? What happened to Taylor Smith?! Make room for another "Baxter debris"?! Any input anyone? C'mon ....

Taylor was shown the door because he was a buffoon. Didn't understand the business and thought that a 40 slide powerpoint would impact sales. Our fearless leader in patient support systems has bled the place dry with continuous pay cuts through ever growing sales goals and refusing to fill open spots. The peter principal is alive and well here as he was recently promoted and brought in another GE drone to take his place. Sooner or later the growth will reverse because leadership does not understand the importance of investing in people and products. Unless of course you are at the very top of the foodchain. And no I am not a disgruntled employee, I like the place, just wish we had better leadership. Typical american company, greedy CEO with lavish pay and perks along with a few cronies that run the place and slowly bleed it until the ride comes to an end and then they all have an excuse.

Hearing from some employees corporate is beginning to give mixed signals (i.e. pulling major product launch; commitment to Enterprise Accounts, etc.). Possible sale in the works?

Any opinions on Paul J? What is this guy like? Effective? GE trash?

PJ is very old school and white privileged. He's going to do his best to keep the company "pale."

So many companies have been ruined by F-ups from GE. They are the schmucks of the healthcare industry. Simply astounding they are still around. Baxter HR actually banned people from there for a while. It wasn't bad enough they completely screwed their share holders a while back driving their share price from $70 to $10... they had to send their trash like Paul J to companies like Hill-Rom as well. The longer he stays, more damage will be done.

Looking forward to this 2:00 call today. Wonder what leadership envisions now. This place is bad.

Here we go again .... Losers? Rejects? Just stop whining and move your fat ass to get something done, instead of just throwing your crap at this board .... you don't have a f.... clue, buddy! These guys know how to get the most out of it and this company has never been so strong as it is now, in all senses. Move on, loser!

It's nice to see the loser management visit cafepharma on their routine breaks to defend themselves and try to distract the readers from the issues plaguing this nepotistic and bleached company. We are all ears, tell us some of the good things you overpaid lard shits get accomplished.
