I'm interviewing with this company and I really like what I've seen so far. I am a little apprehensive due to the negative comments here on the boards. Can someone please give me some more insight to this company and how they manage? Are they micro-managers? Can you actually make the commission they are saying you can make? Any information is really appreciated!

Unfortunately a lot of what is being said is true. If you have other opportunities, I would pursue them rather than take a position with this company.

the testing is great the pay horrible and it will keep getting worse as they keep hiring and they have to squeeze the reps and decrease pay out to be able to hire more. they have made promises about commisions and then they change the goal post.
i hate to say it but BEWARE.
depends on manager if you get micro-managed.
not a very professional company in my opinion
    good luck

Great company to work for. Micro-management depends on your region. If in SE, then expect to be. The other regions are more easy going. However, the SE has the top reps. So there are benefits to it. You have to decide. Many changes taking place. So far, mostly positive. My opinion, continue with interviews. Company has more positives than negatives.... I mean really, what company doesn't have negatives? Just remember this board is majority opinion. Make your own decisions. Good Luck

I really appreciate the feedback! I am interviewing in the south central area. What would be a reasonable expectation for first year money potential? Are they expanding and bringing on more reps all over the country? Again, thanks for the feedback!!

Yes, expanding and adding new reps all over. South Central area? What state specifically? Also, are you interviewing for sales rep, senior acct manager, or acct manager?

I'm interviewing in the south central as well. Is the SE manager that I keep reading about still with the company? Why is turnover so high?

Contrary to opinions some reps may have regarding the SE manager; the manager expects what every other manager expects. Do your you job; lets face it some of the reps should reconsider his or her position in sales.

There is a reason why MDL is always hiring. Revolving door. The VP of Sales gives a whole new meaning to the term micro management! They typically hire people straight out of school because the base is so low no one with experience would bother to apply. Management is also very inexperienced. They promote SSEs that have maybe a year in the field. Ask about the Revenue Correction Factor. Even if you are over quota they will still ding your commission using the RCF. You might only get paid half of what your commission should be. Very unprofessional organization.

Revenue Correction Factor? What the hell is that? Another one of VT's genius ideas?

The Revenue Correction Factor is based on the national revenue per req. if the national revenue per req is $130 and your territory's revenue per req is only $65 then you are going to get paid only 50% of your commissions.

I have no doubt this is another VT's genius ideas....i.e., figures out a way to put less money in reps pockets. I have never even heard of a person who "thinks" like her. She was a wall-flower rep. When she got promoted to "manager" ( I use that term loosely ) some people quit out of protest. She is an extremely immature adult in the way she thinks and handle matters.
