I just want to say that I think the new comp plan and Retention Bonus Program is pretty solid. I see where some get on here and trash the company non-stop, but hard to attack this program and comp plan. Applied is really showing that it is committed to keeping the top talent here. I'm personally very excited and with this new comp plan I believe there is a ton of money for reps to be made. With the new products on the horizon and this retention program I believe we have it made here. Exciting things are on the way!!!!

A Retention Bonus Plan with an employment at will company is somewhat ambiguous......

Every company is an "at will company". You have the right to leave any time you want just as a company has the right to ask you to leave any time they want.

Those who attack AM are the ones who couldn't cut it here or couldn't get hired here. You can just see their jealously seeping through as they type. Reps from other device companies would leave their companies in a heartbeat for a position at AM if they could. AM is changing the industry and everyone else is just trying to keep up. The technology, innovations and products are unmatched. So continue to attack on here, but we all know that you would give anything to be back or have a chance to be an AM rep.

Yes that is right....and they can ask you to leave right before you reach the retention period!!!!

There is no way AM would do that. Regardless of what trolls on here say the company has always been extremely fair to its employees and pays equal to industry standards. Do not believe the trolls on here. Get out of the coffee shops and get in the OR.

There's no such thing as a retention period. You think just because you put in some specific amount of time, you now have tenure? It doesn't work that way. You're free to go anytime you want just like the company is free to let you go any time they want, regardless if you've been here 2 months or 10 years. You sign that in your acceptance packet. I don't know why you're getting all butt hurt about this. Every company is like this.

This is true. I want to come back to Applied. I want to come back to Applied when I am 52. I will work 5 to 10 hours a week. Make 100k get mediocre health benefits and be more or less retired. I'd stay until they either figured me out or I didn't want to travel to a training. I figure that I could do this for 15 years, maybe get a retention bonus or two.

ENERGY is the new product. Think of being able to do the anastomosis with our product. Keep this quite ;)

Yes, I agree 100%. Voyant is going to revolutionize the industry. Superior product and superior results. Going to save hospitals a ton of money too. Look at what we did with trocars, that market is now dominated by Applied. Energy is next and I wouldn't be shocked if stapling is around the corner.

The only thing Voyant is going to dominate is the MAUDE report... Doctor, we pulled the product because it wasn't up to our standards and we couldn't do that because we are trying to fix Healthcare. Translation = the FDA made us pull the product because it didn't really work.

This post is clearly not written by someone who has seen Voyant used, at least in the past six months, and my guess is it's written by a Covidien/Medtronic rep. Both 5mm Fusion and Fine Fusion are working beautifully, and I'm optimistic the Open Fusion about to be released will as well. And no, I'm not a not a manager or a Said ass-kisser, just stating that this product is a serious contender now.

Voyant is going to going to take energy from the Stone Age and bring it to the space age. Your companies would be lucky to have someone half as visionary as Said.

When Companies have to start giving out retention bonuses that can only mean one of two things: 1. They don't have anything to sell, example, loss of 5mm/10mm clip. Voyant doesn't work and is decades late to the game. 2. NOTHING IN THE PIPELINE!

you're surprised by this? Applied Medical always has been and always will be a D-League joke of a company. Alexis and Gel are Applied's only decent products. All that other crap is nothing more than a commodity sold by GPO contract/price. My advice is to win a couple quota buster awards, show you can sell, and get out after 1-2 years. I did, and so did at least 7-8 dozen other reps I know of in the past 3-4 years. Ever notice how there are virtually no reps on LinkedIn with a tenure over 3 years there?
