    Dearest Shire,

We came into this thinking that our ability to be successful and profitable with "rare disease" products would help shape a new culture within Shire. Unfortunately you have ignored everything and made metrics and "reach and frequency" the top concern. What we sell is not eye drops, but alas, leadership knows nothing other than that sales model.
You have broken us. You have won. Sales will suffer. We will be leaving as soon as we can.

    Signed,

    All Baxalta employees

The sooner your leave the better for Shire shareholders and employees. Sorry for the truth!

Amen. And you can add to your ranks those bodies left in the wake of KK and PS. Most horrible, unprofessional "people" I have ever met.

This is pure Shire arrogance. They think they can buy a company, know nothing about the plasma market, and succeed with all the leadership and sales leaving. Whoever the person is who writes these "pro Shire/we are perfect" posts should tell their bosses there is a big problem across many areas of the company.

Just grow up! When a company buys another company, what happens? The acquiring company put their own employees in power. It's call business, little whiner!

So who's looking forward to when said "employees in power" run the divisions into the ground? A good company and good leaders take time to understand the neuonces of the company they just bought and use their leadership as resources. Seeing the that Shire has never sold plasma based products, you would think that they would consult rather than saying all products can follow the sales model of Xiidra. Enjoy selling from the 2000 Merck sales model. How did that work out?

I don't think the name calling and insults helps your argument.

NBU hears you and feels your pain... our leader kc was taught and groomed by kk and ps... a real p.o.s who pretends he knows what he is doing but it is so obvious he is clueless... when u ask your Salesforce not to take vacation for 3 and 1/2 months over the summer and tell them on stage you are voting for no time off for reps between Christmas and new years because numbers drop not realizing they r going to drop regardless of whether we r in the field or not... he didn't know that people don't typically get their adhd meds filled that week and it has nothing to do with us not calling on our docs the day after Christmas... that is true stupidity and it is just one of hundreds of examples of these idiots running the company and our sales teams

NBU is also giving up! We continually exceed annual sales from previous year and fail to reach goal. Our incomes are plummeting while the profits are going through the roof. Customer maintenance is a joke and now they are indexing our scripts. Each week the numbers are inaccurate while I am forced to believe that they have been corrected. No communication, no support, no leadership, no professionalism equals no motivation. Also, where there hell is my NSM gift. Has it become just like bonus? Maybe they will leave it on our pillows at the 465 launch in Q3 in appreciation for our efforts in the field. ( you know...fueling the engine that drives the company bullshit).

Eyedrops? Okay, you just belittled an entire sales force further than shire had already. Most of us have made ophthalmis our career and come here to do the same thing you think you do. We came to Shire for the opportunity of helping patients and doctors with diseases of the eye that have no other treatments or very limited options. One of the drugs, it was to be our 2nd drug, was for retinopathy of prematurity. I guess that's just Eyedrops to you. But for those who suffer from blindness there are no options. Dry eye may not be a rare diseasebut for patients who truly have it this is a very good option. I dldnt come here to sell eyedrops. I didn't come here for xiidra, reall u. I came here for the promise of new and novel drugs to help patients who are l I key to lose their vision, and livlihoods.
Regardless of how you feel about Shire there's no need to bash us. We came to a rare disease company and ended up calling on optical shops because management thought it would be a good idea. So I I e the Operating room to teach docs who don't write Rx's that they might keep patients in contact lenses if they will decide t [ treat dry eye.

When you make something your career you should know how to spell it... especially if it means something to you as you say it does.... if you are one of the best over there i see why they are asking for our help...

Don't give up just double dip. My counterpart in pa has been double dipping for 6 months. She's been bragging about it for awhile.

Stupid question, but what do you mean by double dipping?

Why do I never see anything on here about the Oncology group? Nothing either good or bad. Doesn't anyone have an opinion about them? I'm confused.
