Looks like Intarcia is beginning to build out the field sales force, using Publicis for the recruiting process. Anyone working for the company currently, able to provide some insight as to the culture, compensation, benefits, etc.?

What is timeline to fill sales reps? I saw dbm positions are posted now. Hopefully they offer some good incentive.

DM positions won't be filled until late May/June timeline. Reps likely to be filled starting in July. Recruiter couldn't tell me if reps were to be Publicis or direct hire.

Customer Access positions posted. Does anyone know what the comp looks like? Recruiter couldn't provide details.

    Don't get your hopes up.

They think they don't need the stinkin reps but nurse types to show and more like train the endocrinologist to perform the outpatient minor surgeries. Those arrogant goons think the implant sells by itself and just focus on fewer influencers whatever the fuck that means.

Besides it will be a TOUGH sell even if the payers cover it as who the hell wants implant sticking out of their body and that my friends is big IF and certainly will take months sort out. Also what the fuck to do if side effects becomes unbearable.

Can you provide details on the position and the interview timeline? I received a request for the candidate information form but I haven't heard anything else.

I had a phone screen with a recruiter below are some of my concerns:
    • Recruiter was late by 15 minutes to call. Not a good sign, my time is just as valuable as yours.
    • I had applied for a reimbursement position, I have over 25 years of experience in the industry, repeated President Club winner, multiple awards etc you get the picture
    • Recruiter wanted to know when I graduated high school, college, GPA etc. What??? How about asking questions related to the job function?
    • They will only be targeting Primary care physicians, this a huge red flag
    • Primary care physicians Do Not have the capacity or staffing resources to buy and bill for the product! Not going to happen.
    • The recruiter could not answer any questions I had and continued to focus on my "education and GPA".
    • Large territories
    • Needless to say I passed on moving forward.

What part of the country are you located?

This is EXACT same thing I experienced. The Skype (3rd interview) interviewer was a retired (couldn't hack it anymore) consultant who spent 15 min on my choice of college major, GPA and why I didn't "do better"?!!
This was for a DM spot. Totally laughable. This was on top of being their being late to the Skype by 30 minutes.
All focus was on buy and bill experience regardless of the other experience required.
Odd. I passed on Intarcia thankfully.

DM candidate here. Recruiter called and read a script that has basically pushed things back, without being able to provide any timeline.

    Passing on this "opportunity" too!

i was interested in one of the DM positions, had a phone screen (recruiter was late) and then never heard back. No response to my follow up questions. Kind of a weird scenario of questions and something I'll pass on. Doesn't seem they are starting off on a good foot.

Go read the eye popping reviews on glassdoor dot com. Sounds like total clusterfuck in Boston and California plant.

Heard from an insider - Management nervous about not getting FDA approval and thus slow down in hiring activities.

Running low on cash as they are overwhelmed by how much effort it takes to go commercial after being start-up for over 20 years and doing another round of raising money with some investors pushing back.

Jury is out on whether implant will be smashing success or biggest turd to hit the diabetes market.

problem with every startup is "when do they run out of cash". is this one funded if the launch is delayed ?
