If Olympus was such a great company, why so many open positions?

Do your homework before accepting a position with OLYMPUS. No other medical device company has as many openings, why?

Because working for Olympus is a truly awful experience. Anyone with any self respect has been resigning at record pace. By Christmas we will have turned over 70% of the total salesforce. This kind of mass exodus is exactly what was promised on this post board 24 months ago. There is a lot of truth on this board. Management is truly disgusting, sales operations is even worse!!! The pinnacle of it all is the pathetic and arrogant top brass that continue to watch this company sink, and do nothing to stop it from happening. Get out now!
Do not apply or take a job with Olympus. You were amply warned!
Hit them where it hurts! The stock will continue to crash under $30 per share. Watch and see.

Dysfunctional!!! The manager you are interviewing with has ZERO control , has ZERO flexibility. You will be micromanaged underpaid, this company is not a sales driven company. If you want entry level experience ,YES . If you have relationships and have experience DO NOT .

Olympus is literally running full time training to on board new idiots that take sales positions. Training in the past, ran every 3-4 months. Now it runs every 2 weeks because they have that much turnover that they need to play CYA, and rehire that quickly. I saw a memo the other day in CV that said that the training department is asking for a lot more budgetary $ because they need a lot more staff the cover the mass exodus and mass rehire/onboarding that is taking place. Not to mention the mountain and I mean mountain of lawsuits that are POURING in to CV against OCA and RVP's for their negligence. Its literally like a carnival over here at Olympus.

    Stay away!!!!!!!!!

There are a very few select people at Olympus that are calling the shots these days. They have made it very clear they want to only cut everyone else's pay so they can look good. And of course these same piece of shit cowards didn't take a pay cut. Right Nacho, Pierre and Todd?!!
You have no talent. You are following a Jack Welch rule book of how to screw your employees by managing a bottom line. Any literate person can read and interpret. No skill needed there. Don't brag about how profitable you are like you're the geniuses to think of this shitty management style.
So, way to pull the wool over the blind Japanese eyes. You're fooling them, but not the ones who can bring this hole thing down. Good luck selling the next platform with amateur sales reps who have zero relationships.

    Great post!
These losers will be going down shortly.
I just sent a letter to Hiroyuki Sasa in Japan informing him exactly on how to access this website. Let him read the thousands of posts on here about all of the illegal shit that has been done by Kuhn & Fleming's group, as well as douchebag Usen. They have a nice pastrami on rye coming for karma.

As one who's spent many many year at Olympus these last few posts are def spot on here. We all been recommending to leave. Everyone aggressively is looking. Everyone. Very very desperately looking.

Not too sure if Japan cares (they don't) about any of the mgmt issue and illegal practices. They have been the leaders in it for decades (google Olympus Michael Woodford) and now are only paying lip service in order not be SHUT DOWN by the DOJ (Ref regarding internal DOJ audit and internal observers able to SHUT DOWN the American division at any moment). It's all lip service and a PR game for survival as OLYMPUS is on LIFE SUPPORT. All Japan or Nacho care about is survival at all cost, understood. This is clearly evident and outsiders have NO IDEA. Heck many of the newbies have NO IDEA of Olympus' history. So go ahead sign up we're only beginning to scratch the surface here. Next, after the general intro, Chapter 1, "Life with Your RVP & Methods of Profitable Torture."

Because this is not a good place to be . PATHETIC EXISTENCE !

  12. Great post! probably top 3 of all time. This place is a sewer filled with corruption. What some of these managers will put themselves and their families through for money, it sickens me. You know who you are.
I put in 10 years at Olympus before walking away. I have never witnessed anything even close to the amount of corruption and illegal business dealings that occured during me tenure. Truly disgusting company, with lots of disgusting people running it. Nils, you are one of those people you turd burglar, completely and utterly complicit.

Because it is not even a good company . Not a place where you will thrive and grow. It is dysfunctional . toxic , culture . Not a place you can be proud to work ! Not really even a good place to be from !

Class Action Lawsuit.... All sales reps should get together and file suit against OCA for all of the theft of their hard earned $.. Generator theft, comp theft, button back order bs so they don't have to payout bonuses. The list of corruption is a mile long. I would put nothing past SOD & his cronies.

This place is an awful environment to work in.

Someone should call the local media in Center Valley to do an expose on all the corruption and criminal behavior that goes on at OCA. OCA tries to pretend that they are on the up and up out in Center Valley. It would be nice for the local news out there to expose what really goes on behind close doors. That might put a big black cloud over hiring at corporate. Its time to turn up the heat on these ass hats.
