You numbnuts didn't think this place was bad when you applied or interviewed, so you only have yourself to blame. Majority of you have been in pharma for years and were suckers for drinking the koolaid. You jumped ship at other companies for the dollar signs you saw here, so it's your own fault. Maybe do research before you switch companies. It doesn't take a genius to see DP is a snake and brought all her shady, off label, minions with her from her previous company.

Is the shine a little off the fancy new car? Sure...a few months in and it is less a "new kind of sales organization" and more of the same stuff you've dealt with at every other company. Still, it's a solid product, pays well and is a fairly projectable organization for the next few years and that's not nothing in the industry these days

The same dumb shit is happening because we have a group of managers that mostly failed at their previous stops, and even more importantly two Directors who were both terminated/being pushed out of the last job they each held. I am guilty, I bought into my manager's hype, as a female I was excited about two female directors, and a female manager. The manager I work for is someone I used to know at a previous company in different divisions, so there was trust and my pre-conceived notion that there is too much of the "boys club" in this industry. The guilt isn't from that approach, but rather that many of these people failed miserably in management and director roles and many of us ignored the results and bought into what now can only be viewed as artificial hype. We are stuck, vesting, bonus, etc needs to be collected for quite some time to at least make it not a completely flawed career decision.

Ask your manager and your director about their previous companies and results, look at all the LinkedIn accounts, and then decide why we are having the problems we are having. I thought people were running to Neurocrine based on excitement, what was not realized at the time is that all of the people were running away from somewhere else they had failed miserably.

 

I think you pretty much summed up the industry lately.

 

So, is DP still there?

DOJ just subpoena her old manager, MM. Showed up at his house! Ship is sinking and he is delighted for DP to drop along with everybody else. Watch as she is managed out of here.

 

This is what happens when you hire a bunch reps with no orphan disease exp.

 

The real issue is your company DID NOT focus on Neurology and Movement Disorder. Any rep wanting to sell this product GO INTO MOVEMENT CLINICS. It is NOT a psych issue, it is a neurological disorder. No matter how the patient was inflicted.
