    Dear Phellow Pharma Pholks:

My PFE boss is gonna can me on "trumped up" charges. Any suggestions on getting back at my boss that do not involve any felony, misdemeanor or other crime?

    Thankie!

Go out on medical leave or strike first by calling them out.

Yes, I am going to pursue that option. I don't understand why my manager believes that by exerting negative pressure on me to achieve results, when there are market conditions preventing me from doing so and which I have no control over, my boss will motivate me to work harder to achieve those results.

I understand clearly that I am paid to perform. But if I am held accountable for market variables outside my control that are preventing from achieving my sales goals, it's just plain wrong, disingenuous and creates a hostile work environment that produces the opposite result.

I've been in this business a long time and have worked for several large pharma companies. I've never been treated like this before. The Pfizer culture and leadership is very toxic.

Medical leave is for lazy wimps ready to get fired, who try to dodge the inevitable.
You SUCKED at your job and are unstable mentally as evident on this sad dark post.

Get an Attorney first, Have your Attorney send them a letter that if they fire you you will see them in court. Go on Medical leave too it can only help your case. You have to punch them in the face before the punch you.. go on the offensive.

Try not to let it get to you! God knows what that manager is doing. I'll be praying for you!

Thanks. I need the prayers. My boss is alienating my customers. They don't want to see my boss again. Soon, I'll have no more places to bring my boss. And my boss' aggressive tactics have not produced one extra script.

I am sorry for what you are going through. How long have you worked for Pfizer? It sounds like your manager may think you are not taking to "pfizerization" quickly enough.

You can live to be scared of Goliath all your life or you can fight and win if the facts are in your favor. Just because they have a bank of Attorneys doesn't mean they are stupid enough to challenge a case they could possibly lose. Court is a crap shoot, and if the reps have enough supporting evidence PFE will at least offer up a nice departing package. So keep rolling over your whole life it shows who you are.

I would never get involved in any litigation against PFE. They would prevail.

Not necessarily. Have you seen the class-action settlements at other companies in the industry? If your case is sound the attorneys won't want to challenge....juries are not very sympathetic to big corporations who tolerate harassment, hostile work environments, retaliation, or discrimination. Can you say EEOC? Good luck - so sorry this is happening to you but it happens even in the best companies. Bad management is a cancer in pharma.

Class Acton, really? We are talking one person here...and RARELY does a 1 person suit like this get to a jury, Pfizer would pound the guy and his attorney long and hard, till they gave in for very little if any money. The guy either has to pay his attorney or the attorney works for a piece of the possible settlement, either way they cant hold out too long...

Its not a matter of fear, its a matter of being realistic...

For the cost of $4000, I got a DM and RM fired after I went to an attorney. I didn't know how it would turn out but the facts spoke for themselves, (at another Big Pharma company). If I had it to do over again I would have taken Medical Leave first. Your DM may think he has a plan but as Mike Tyson stated, "Everyone has a plan until they get socked in the mouth." Take a stand. Either way you'll be glad you left no stone unturned. And - PFE might learn a lesson. It can happen as I know personally.

Call your ethics line and report your DM and RM if the DM has acted unethically. The RM will roll over on the DM to save themselves. It works.
