I get it, this is a business. Tough decisions need to be made. Our leadership used to say "we're not like other companies, we do things differently". Not any more we don't. Waiting by the phone?! Making changes that takes us backwards and fails to address any of our supposed problems. At some point can we just change our name to ZS Associates?

You are such a HOMO!! In the grand scheme of things 100 layed off......That's NOTHING! Could be a lot worse.

Unless you're one of the 100, then it's something.

it was 100 and some now, 100 and some the year before, 100 and some the year before that. death by 1000 cuts

Also, its not 100, it's 185. The 70 new positions are almost entirely director level or educator. Few of the displaced will be able to apply for those positions. Currently vacant positions will be folded and so they won't be able to apply for that either. The number of positions eliminated is actually greater than 185. 185 is the number of warm bodies.

This is not an insignificant cut...it's 10%...maybe more.

Not to mention all of the positions that aren't being filled from attrition.

Not true. It's 185 positions, not people.

Lie. We have that many vacancies right now...at least. Why would they have whole company stay home? It's 185 reps and managers...plus folding territories.

i think its more than 185. In my area we have 4 openings from people leaving and I don't know if any of those will get filled

i don't know specifics, but I have been around long enough to know that this WILL be a big deal. Everyone will be affected in some way. New zips, customers, new managers, reporting structure and new geographies for everyone. It is inevitable when you turn everything over to ZS and their 20 something year old millennial number crunchers who have little to no knowledge of the way this business works. Combine that with upper management that sees its employees not as human beings but as "individual contributors" and you will have mayhem. All we can do is sit back and play the hand we are dealt. If we are still in this industry, then we signed up for it.

yeah. Poster #2, you're clueless. This company will survive, but if you think for one second it's about the patient, you're crazy. It's about stock price.

Doug is a puppeteer. The rest are his puppets. Only problem is he's clueless. He's launching old strategies. Want to wager Q4 is worse than Q3?

I prefer my designation as a "customer facing" individual best. Please refer to me as that moving forward. Thank you.

Ok. You'll see, I guess. But, when it's all over and done with, come back on here and admit that you were completely wrong.

OH MY GOD!!! Who in the hell started that "customer facing" BS and do they have any idea that the rest of us don't use that kind of language? It takes more than standing in front of a group and promising good car choices!!! Respect the culture, for God's sakes.

"Respect the culture" is an interesting comment. I think maybe it's you who needs to respect the culture, because you seem to be hanging onto a culture that no longer exists at Novo Nordisk.

None of us will see. We will have to take the company's word for it...but, if there's proof I am wrong, I will admit it.

If we were laying of a couple dozen people, we wouldn't have the whole company at home.

NNI field sales is not dead yet. Thanks to Sema we have been given a prognosis of 12-18 months. Then they will have to make the difficult decision to pull the plug on a large #.

It’s a shame what this company has become. It was once a great company to work for. Sure wish Martin was our leader again!!

This is what happens to a once great company like Novo when the ELT consists of goons who came from big pharma.
