Hope you are ready folks because lay offs are happening in Spring 2018. There is nothing in the pipeline to save us this time. All of the resp products are costing money, not making money. Meetings are taking place already and the talks are that 40% of field and corporate will be gone by March. Don’t wait around for the bonus because you do not want to be competing with everyone when they start cutting. Don’t listen to the lies that there are no lay offs coming. This is the Lunesta days all over again. If there are no products selling, how are they going to pay us? Japan is not making any money and have been using us as the cash cow. The party is almost over.

Duh. I think everyone knows it is coming next year. It is pretty obvious.

If it's so obvious, why are they hiring 75 new reps???

This is a load of crap posted by some ex-employee who does not have a clue. There are not any plans to lay anybody off and the company has plenty of money to pay us. In fact the company is going to exceed it's budget for this year.

of course we are above budget! That is the plan. Maximize profits before the big layoff. Just like Lunesta. Do you really think Osaka plans to pay to keep us around because they have the money? Get ready people.

Do you seriously think they are going to pay and keep us all when there is no money coming in? Sure, they will keep us all because they are really nice people.

Why would they be laying off when they are promoting reps to NAS positions? Also, lots of openings that PDI is being used to fill those positions. I think we are ok.

They will get rid of flex and replace with pdi full-timers (there are already 75 openings listed on pdi website)
that should save us until launch takes off .

No decisions have been made it. By mid February, the final decisions will be made on the number of lay offs and it will not be until May when they start doing smaller downsizes, mostly corporate to start. By the end of 2018, the field layoffs will be done. We still have at least five months.

Because they are grasping at straws until the last moment. There were POD reps who were 5 days out if training the their layoffs were announced. Why in the world would they have hired these poor reps, paid them through training knowing the end was coming?

    Stupid autocorrect - PDI

    huh? Clarify that one.

You mean why would Sunovion put 5 reps through training? Who paid for them? PDI? Sunovion?

If the people that don’t believe there will be lay offs next year when the only drug making money goes off patent, then good luck and keep living in your fantasy land. There is nothing good in the pipeline and no BD deals happening. You can sit there and keep writing, no, everything will be fine. They are going to pay us even though there is no money coming in. Time to start thinking in reality.
