That is BS the neuro division is expanding. The company did move to Boston, and some in house people are bitter ( they they can not take all the snow) The sale team is doing well. Dust off your resume and give us a try.

  4. Of course the sales team is doing well, they are selling the most expensive drug in the world and people DIE if they don't take it. Real hard sell there! That's one of the most jack-ass statements I think I've ever read and you are an even bigger jack ass for making it.

I'm also assuming you are from Jupiter because you don't seem to realize that Boston and New Haven's snow is the same, jack ass.

This company is folding. They have laid off more than 25% of their workforce in less than a year and wiped R&D. That's TEXT BOOK SELL PREP. Oh, and there's more "re-structuring" on the way. Don't waste your time with this company, you will lose skill sets and not make enough money to make it worth it.

Why would one even waste their time considering this dump?? Just look at the companies stock price history alone.....the future doesn’t look to promising. I’d be careful

Alexion was founded by L. Ron Hubbard. At interview #3, they will ask you to sign a billion year non-compete contract.

    It’s a wonderful company!

Alexion is a great place if you are a primary care rep and are looking for orphan experience and a pay bump they really pay very well and your CV will benefit from the experience. The expansion will create small Regions (your not a rep any more your a Regional Account Manager).
If you are interested; see if you like the person you interview with, your boss makes your job.
Truthfully Alexion RAMs are sought after, the reality is that as Alexion floods the market with small regions the bonus will suffer. As bonus suffers morale will go down, and candidly the leader has NO sales experience and is widely considered incompetent. Some of the NEW EDs are ok but the voice from the top is just awful. So if you have experience the future growth is not there. If you are chasing signatures and dropping samples then apply. But it is not the place that was generous with stock and valued independent decision making any longer. Did I mention the VP in charge has never sold anything?

The recruiter will call you and sell you the moon. They get north of $30K per human capital placement. That’s a lot of jack.

So a discerning ear is mandatory as they tell you how wonderful the $130K-$150K base salary is. Nevermind that you will get calls and texts 24/7/365 once you sign on.
Good manager = poor quality of life.
Bad manager = put a fork in ya

This will be the most intense experience you’ve had in medical sales. So sit down, strap up, and hold on! Once you’re in, they will start peeling back the layers. The center ain’t pretty.

That is so not true. This company is amazing and compensation is so generous. You just have to work - no lazy people welcome here.

So what if you’re salary is 162k already coming from rare disease would I get a raise or is 150k the cap for a rep role?

Can anyone let me know when they are expected to make offers. I am still in the middle of the process and hear different time lines. Has anyone been told training dates? Please let me know if anyone has been hired. I thank you in advance.

If you are making $162 base as a rep, you are already grossly overpaid. You aren’t getting more here.

I noticed the Chicago position is no longer listed. Did it get filled or are they not expanding Chicago any longer?

Is this company that bad? The pay is great, and you sell in the orphan space. Is the new territory a black hole?

These boards are troubling for one reason. I am a Neurology employee and have been for 8 months or so. I LOVE ALEXION. It’s a great place and I’m so happy (and fortunate) to be here.

We get compensated more than fair, and our product makes a difference in patients lives. It’s a challenging role, as we are trying to change the way a disease has been treated for 60 years, so if you want a cake walk then don’t come here. But if you want a challenge with GREAT benefits and a GREAT culture then you can’t go wrong coming here. Best of luck to you in the interview process.

Definitely take the advice of somebody who has been at the company for 8 months, LOL.

It’s losers like you that the company restructured to get it right. Somehow they missed getting rid of you. Or didn’t they? Alexion is awesome.
