No surprise that, with the incredible ineptitude we've seen from our leadership, the robot is now publicly delayed. Yes, I know we've all been hearing the whispers and it didn't come as a big shock. Through all of the repeated failures over the last few years the bright and shiny light promised at the end of the long dark tunnel is now even further away.

The rumors of further consolidation are likely to pan out as well as the organization moves away from innovation and new technology and toward being a product iterative cash cow for Medtronic. I am better than this and refuse to be denigrated to a glorified field customer service rep getting paid 80% of what just one of the four reps that used to handle all my lines did in the past. After a long and proud tenure I have to look at other opportunities and hope to move on in short order.

My guess is MITG is about to get majorly shuffled around. It’s hard to hear after dealing with two years of operational nightmares.

Get ready for the bloodbath. Managers are all out in Chicago meeting this week so they know what's coming. If they deny, they are lying to your face.

If and when you leave, I predict you will discover that you over have estimated your value to this organization and your customers.

After the dust settles with our next reorganization, it’ll still be the same senior leadership making more terrible decisions—pushing us to more mediocrity into the next few years all while saving their collective asses. Pathetic.

It would be great if management would let us know what our roles will look like. This uncertainty can’t be good for productivity. In addition, I’m sure reps like myself would like to know if they are about to hand over a presidents club year to another rep who has done nothing to deserve it. After a year of busting my butt, getting up at 3:30 am, not seeing my kids, I will be gone if they don’t honor recently won business. THESE are the things management needs to think about. Because good, long-term, hardworking reps will be the ones they lose if they disregard our efforts. They will keep the reps that go to the gym at 11 am, because for them this is a great gig and they will lose the few great reps who are left because they can easily find a better job.

Even if they honor your wins the payout will be divided by additional buckets. Do you feed your family with p-club, ego stroking or cash? They don't give a sh*t about you. Senior leadership gets paid out based on stock performance. In a saturated market like the US they will only raise market performance through "efficiencies". AKA, giving you more work and paying you the same or less. The other route to growth would be through new tech and the past two years show that we would have trouble launching a paper airplane.

Project BOHICA will be a great move forward for the organization. Management has already been briefed in Chicago and trained on how to avoid the pitfalls of change fatigue following Hercules and Constitution. Here's to BOHICA! Cheers

I’m guessing it is the name of our restructuring plan that is about to happen. GSP = suture reps AST= combined bag

And yes, no MDT robot in USA for at least 3 years. ISRG patents are impossible to work around.

Trocars and hand inst coming back to AST. I'm sure those businesses are in great condition after 5 years with the incompetent and understaffed GSP group.

    BOHICA, no lube

Awww...look at you spreading the love! I hope Scott makes an amazing position for you at the end of the unemployment line. Good luck today! You “special” reps will need it. XOXO

Must be MDT/COV management with that special trademark blend of condescension and arrogance.
