Please don't come to work at EXAS! You go to Cafepharma to find out info on the position/company. You are either:

    1. An idiot

    2. A fraud that is just trying to string this post along.

    Either way, please don't apply.

Omg, terrible company! They lie during the interview process and it’s a bad culture.

If it is all about the "mission" they why when I asked what percentage of patients from 2014/2015 have been compliant and taken another screen did the area managers look like they saw a ghost. The screen is indicated every three years and I find this is a valid measure of success. Every question I asked was deflected with stock holder information. I think the company runs ads and appears to be hiring reps to appear as if they are on to something big. The area managers all seemed like C students in high school. I am looking for more professional leadership to help me grow. Not impressed. Do not ask any intelligent and data driven questions if you would like a job at Exact Sciences.

Well, I am happy to read that someone out there has the ability to evaluate an organization during their interview. Hats off to you. More people should approach their interviews with the same level of evaluation and thought. Your ability to do so in this instance helped you to make the correct decision and look elsewhere for an organization that is outstanding and that will invest in its talent - not abuse it or ignore it like Exact does to its people.

Management is truly awful. EXAS does a good job projecting what they are NOT but they will be exposed some day for what and who they really are. RUN FOR THE HILLS.

This is my first time reading all of this about Exact Sciences and I have heard from more than four different individuals that they had a very horrible experience working at ES. There must be some truth. Beside, why are you so angry and defensive? Interesting.

Exactly. The leadership (Diane, Kevin, etc.) at the top either have no clue what is really going on, or if they do, they simply don't care. Or, maybe they are the reason why people are miserable. This will hurt them in the end as more and more people begin to share their experiences working at EXAS. They boast about their so called wonderful "culture" while everyone is quietly stabbing each other in the backs. THIS CULTURE IS REALLY BAD. The few favorites who make their numbers are lucky because they can do pretty much whatever they want. They are the reason the company is doing well.

Great stock. Quality of managers and reps subpar. Horrible culture. Expansion? How about keep the territories the same and pay more. All of the other “labs” have much higher salaries and comp plans. The top reps MIGHT make 170k. That’s average compensation for any other oncology diagnostic job. Not to mention that job is BORING.

It really is sad as the culture used to be very close knit and family oriented. Then it became only about the dollar, even eliminated patient sheets telling them to contact insurance — now it’s just “this should be covered, demand this test!” and we care zero about managed care challenges, blame the rep for bills, it’s the reps fault, gaslight the reps until they believe that too. Subpar managers are hyperfocused on numbers and not on people, upper management smiles and keeps patting themselves on the back. They pretend to care and stab you wildly in the back, it’s a dog and pony show boys and girls! Managers are now forming pockets of ignorant jackasses in their respective geographies and trying to force out whoever they can. Do not trust anyone here, no one is your friend. It has become as pharma as any job has ever been.

Not everyone is on here to complain, everything said has been spot on. It is hard to watch, as common sense has fallen by the wayside. This product should be a blockbuster, the debt/losses/not hitting goals, is completely on (mis) management. A massive downsizing is the only sane move. The board of directors should be able to even see that. Pharma doesn't even do anything this insane

Cologuard is the fastest growing diagnostic in history! What are you talking about?!

How Cologuard does in the market and how the rep does on goal attainment are two very different things.

The company is royally screwing us out of paying commission monies for all the revenue we generate!
