Ophthalmology Regional Sales Manager Openings

There are openings posted under Regional Sales Manager - Accounts and Regional Sales Manager - Portfolio. The job description for each is exactly the same - is there a difference in these two positions or are they actually the same?

There are 17 openings. Are these all from people leaving as described here? Obviously do not want to get involved with a company if people are actually leaving that quickly ahead of a potential new launch. But it looks like 4 are open replacement positions and 13 are newly created positions that I assume will cover Seciera if it gets launched.

 

‘IF’ it launches is the operative term, but that’s secondary to the more serious company issues. I’ve had two bosses in the past year, both clueless. We’ve lost the few good market access people we had in the field, same for medical, the head of sales, two VP- business unit heads, the entire marketing team.

Do you think there’s a core reason why this place bleeds resignations and why they can’t get back fills ?

All of the Allergan hacks who " swore they would never work for Sun".. "I'll go to Shire before I go to Sun".. They are applying in droves right now. I love how you can spin the Indian reservation patent bullshit as business skills, but Sun is unethical.

 

I agree with you closing comments about ethics, but I can assure you that no one is lining up to get in. No one.

Most of these are filled and I can’t explain why they were posted other than it was a mistake. I have one the position for one of the job posts.

So what is the difference between the "Portfolio" position and the "Accounts" position? I assumed one is BromSite sales and the other is the launch but it seems you are saying there will only be one force.

 

There are people here who’ve come more recently strictly because they need a place to park short term, like myself.
Everyone told me this is a shit-show, and it is, but I needed income and they were kind of desperate. Win win.

I am though surprised at how many <6 monthers so to speak that are already looking.
